Work Experience
Developer Helicon Jan 2015 – Jul 2015
Worked as a developer in Helicon, a rising company here on Monterrey that currently holds a couple of national impact projects as script
designer, app designer, database manager, data scientist, system architect, and requirements engineer.
Most of my work has been in several areas, worked with a political party in 2 elections, building all their system for election progress tracking
(can’t really go into depth here), designed, implemented and tested a library for translating plaintext, binary, and base32 numbers.
Installed an Nginx server with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstache, Kibana), optimized it so it can manage around 500k simultaneous users.
Implemented R statistical information that was used in the progress analysis, did some prediction analysis, also a graphical interface on R.
Designed and implemented and application for PGR (State Justice Department, for its letters in Spanish). A system for automatically
managing chains of custody on different evidence types. Huge project in which I was in charge. Also helped their investigations dept.
Lead Designer, developer Geometrica May 2013 – Jan 2014
Designed from scratch a web application to manage the workers' shift and owed pay with the Ruby on Rails architecture based on a
PostgreSQL database on the Monterrey construction plant (largest dome-building company on Mexico).
Reduced consumed time per week for each of the area's bosses from 2 days sorting through punch cards to an hour on a web application with
complete access to the records and reports for 1 year prior.
Unified the interface for monitoring reports and progress on different construction projects.
Aided human resources on standardizing the bosses' reports and eliminated their need to generate graphs (app generated them automatically).
Projects
OpenCV (2016) Open source library for computer vision with over 9 million downloads, working on several pull requests, as of writing
working in the machine learning module on a new feature for random trees classifier ( https://github.com/opencv/opencv ).
Certex (2016) System for online notary based on BlockChain networks, public key encryption, and hashing functions (SHA256).
Gestalk (2015) An application that used the Leap Motion sensor to identify your hands' position and using a neural network algorithm (I implemented it) to
translate it to natural language.
State campaign (2015-2016) More can be discussed upon further questioning, as it is sensitive information I'm not at liberty to discuss much about it.
Galileopack (2015) Designed and developed the python scripts for communicating automatic alerts in case of any health issues for running on a backpack
with sensors (intended for lone hikers).
ML Projects (2015) Developed several machine learning methods using Java as part of my summer in Russia. This included an artificial neural network to
identify written digits, a classifier to predict house prices using several features, and several other data analyzing and interpretation works.
PMC (2016) Started work on a personal server for streaming my media anywhere, using UPnP for universal connections.

Ecozeolitas won us the third prize on ITESM entrepreneurial show (05/MAY/2015), beating over 200 teams competing.
Second place on Monterrey's hackathon (28/MAR/2014).
Certificate in PenTesting (novice) awarded by White Suite Hacking.
Honorific mention on (07/SEP/2015) Microsoft coding competition (best ranking team of two persons).
Honorific mention on Saint Petersburg summer for finishing the machine learning course with top marks.
MxHacks (Hackaton at Mexico City) winner of the IDEA challenge for helping the population at the bottom of the pyramid.
