the pleasure of employing Sean for a total of 3 years, and we have remained close since his departure to
complete his degree.
During the time of his employment Sean was given responsibility for several administrative functions.
Specifically, Sean was in charge of our bookkeeping. His duties included entering properly coded credit
card receipts, preparing checks for approved bills, and entering the donations into the accounting
software. Sean was a quick study with this, and he prepared a meticulously illustrated guide for the future
interns to follow. Sean’s attention to details and willingness to ensure the accuracy of mundane, but
essential and important, processes were qualities I valued greatly. In the case of our bookkeeping, I relied
upon Sean to make sure all of our accounts balanced in order to present accurate financial reports to the
board.
Sean welcomed the tasks and excelled at learning the process, making suggestions for improvement, and
becoming efficient with the execution of the tasks. His attention to detail and rigorous loyalty to the
procedures that are intricate and complex made employing him in that capacity a welcome aid to our
ministry.
