Scrum is the most used agile framework and almost everyone knows the basic rules. It is therefore surprising that the idea of a “Done” product increment receives so little attention. It is probably easier to organize a daily scrum of up to 15 minutes in length than to deliver a new and enhanced version of our product production ready and in an appropriate quality for each sprint. In this talk we as knights of the holy grail want to make ourselves on the search for ways to this quality. We will discuss what “Done” can mean in different contexts. We will also talk about what development teams can do to achieve the required quality. This involves good software development practices (Software Craftsmanship) and tools for assessing and improving current quality. In addition, we will also address the ongoing integration of our systems and the combination of expertise, software development, testing and operation. With this talk we want to contribute to the fact that Done Increment is not an unattainable goal of agile product development with Scrum, but something that should be considered seriously by every Scrum team and optimised iteratively incrementally.
