- This slide documents our understanding of the key concepts or strategic objectives that BAMC hopes to accomplish. Our goal is to facilitate BAMC providing the best possible customer service. Minimizing patient waiting times is key. With the right workflow processes, waiting times can be better managed. Another key to providing excellent customer service is providing quality patient care. This means giving the correct med to the correct patient as well as helping that patient feel like they were cared for when they leave your pharmacies. In order to provide high quality and safe patient care while at the same time keeping the waiting times low—workflow efficiencies must be in place and maximized. Eliminating unnecessary steps in the filling and checking process is a critical component to improving operational efficiency. Many pharmacies make the mistake of not properly integrating robotic and other pharmacy automation technology into their overall workflow process. A strongly recommended goal would be processing over 50% of your workload and working all the time.
