Although the hit single “What You Need” drove INXS’s 1985 release Listen Like Thieves to number
11 on the Billboard charts, the band’s next album, Kick, achieved a whole new level of popularity.
Not only did the album peak at number three on the Billboard charts, it generated four Top 10
singles: "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," "Never Tear Us Apart," and "Devil Inside." “Need
You Tonight” became the only number one single in INXS’s career.
