1. SITUATION (METL/Collective Task for Training).

2. MISSION. NLT 021330JUN14,188th BSB conducts
training on assigned VRC systems and SINCGARS
FM radios utilizing OE-254s VIC OP7 IOT improve
unit long range communications capability and
mission command.
3. EXECUTION.
3.a. KEY TASKS.
Ensure all necessary equipment (i.e. OE-254
COMPLETE with COEIs, H-250s) is on-hand
Ensure unit VRCs , PAs (Power Amplifiers)
vehicular Whip Antennas are present and
FMC
Perform all comms checks with Staff Duty prior
to rollout IAW 188th CMD Maintenance SOP
3.b. CONCEPT OF THE OPERATION.
PHASE I PLANNING: This phase begins at T+2.
Mission and Key Tasks are established. Resources,
mission essential shortages are identified and coordinated
for. Ensure vehicles identified for rollout possess
installed VRC.
Phase II PREPARATION: This phase begins at T+1.
Gather all necessary remaining equipment to execute
mission. Coordinate with S6 for receiving COMSEC.
Ensure all necessary TMs (OE-254 )are on hand.
PHASE III EXECUTION: This phase begins on T-day.
Upon completion of “During PMCS”, each company
erects and installs 1x OE-254 VIC OP7. Upon
completion, comms checks utilizing company call sign are
made to BN TOC (“Steel Main”) via VRC system. BN
TOC confirms radio check and troubleshoots as
necessary.
PHASE IV RECOVERY: This phase begins after
completion of long range comms checks. OE-254s are
broken down and recovered properly, field losses
identified and annotated if necessary. SP back to MP

Sign for OP7 will be on left approximately ½ mile down ; follow unimproved road back to site
Take unimproved road back to Preachers Road and take a right
Turn Right onto Longstreet Road, then right on to Gruber Road and continue to the 188th BSB Motor Pool
