5. India
Modern India is developing and increasing urban areas day by day.
- People living in urban areas have
modern lifestyle.
- To access to health care facilities
is quick & easy.
- Areas are always buzzing with
people and activities.
6. Urban India - A step towards technology and development.
7. People are living practically but on the other hand this scenario also
has some disadvantages also..
People are busy in their own lives and appear to be relatively
indifferent towards one another.
Agricultural land is lost in the construction of roads and buildings.
The population in urban areas
is high, and they are generally
populated.
8. A country where farmers commit suicide.
The lands are not productive as before.
Industrial waste make the water unusable.
Due to increase of industries in
India, the air, land gets polluted
& it results to environmental
degradation.
9. A Nation which is named Bharat
The soul of India lives in its villages, 60 percent
of the population still lives in villages of India.
Indian villages have a very beautiful and
attractive lifestyle.
The Villages are free from the hustle and bustle of a city life, villages
are peaceful, calm, quite and full of greenery where one can breathe
fresh air.
A lot of agricultural land is available.
Most of the people who live in villages are farmers, other works as
potters, carpenters, blacksmith.
10. Way Of Living
The life style of villagers are very clean, sweet and simple. They don’t
dream for big house, vehicle, money etc., Whatever they got that is
enough to live their life happily.
The beauties of villages are described by the way
villagers happily live in the small huts or a home,
made by clay or mud.
The villagers are socially knit together, every evening they assemble
in the village “Chopal” with their ‘hukkas’ and chatting and talking
goes on till late the night.
11. Current Situation of the Nation we Call Bharat
This areas are the rural areas of the country.
Most of the areas are under developed.
Almost this areas are covered with
Agriculture and farming.
The life in rural areas is quieter than
that in large cities.
This areas are infrastructural less
developed and have less transport
facilities.
12. There are no water supply, no indoor toilets and no electricity.
River water, well or hand pump are the main source of water.
In villages, there are few small shops
to meet the requirements of the rural
people.
13. People are more bound to tradition and old ways of thinking. They
don't tend to accept cultural or other differences easily.
A large number of children are engaged in economic activities, mainly
agriculture.
Most of the villages have no basic amenities like good roads, schools
and hospitals.
14. Women Empowerment
Women are given a top place in India from the ancient
time however they were not given empowerment
to participate in all areas.
They were badly treated in the family and society.
They were limited only for the household chores
or understand the responsibility of home and
family members.
Gender equality is the first step to bring women
empowerment in India.
48.6 % of Rural women
are contributing towards
agriculture.
15. In Villages the people’s thinking are like “Women are only for managing
the household and for giving birth.” A Bitter truth for us.
While talking about the current situation in modern areas of India,
Women are one step ahead from Man.
Still in many backward areas, there is a trend of
early marriage and childbirth because of the
poverty, insecurity and illiteracy of the parents.
Talking about empowerment then, there should be some effective and
tight laws which can be followed by everyone.
To bring a real women empowerment, It needs to be open-minded and
change the old mind set against women together with the constitutional
and other legal provisions.
16. Education In Villages
The educational status of the people in the villages of India is
not so good, some of the villages even don’t have school.
In villages the people’s mindset are like that there is no
importance of education.
This is the major reason that the illiteracy rate is high in India.
So to make change the government has started many programs
and primary schools are made free and compulsory.
Lacking good staff, funds, learning material, and educational
tools, rural areas cannot provide the kind of education that
urban areas can.
17. Way Ahead
More investment on agriculture and supporting industries.
Rural India till contribute 60% of Indian population and we need to take them
along with us.
Mass education should be spread by establishing more primary and secondary
schools. It must be made both compulsory and free.
Roads and other means of communication in the village should be improved.
Every Block should have a hospital or a primary Health Centre for priding medical
aids to the villagers.
Villages should be electrified to remove the depressing darkness of rural night.
18. Conclusion
Provide the best education and make it
free & compulsory.
In recent years the Central and the State Governments have taken
some steps to improve the condition of the villagers. The village
Panchayat and the Co-operative Credit Societies are two important
factors in this respect.
All these will strengthen rural economy and make villages not only
habitable but also attractive and prosperous.
