1. Higher Education in China is extremely advanced.
There are over 2000 Universities & Colleges, situated all
over China
2. China has a 50-year History of Foreign Students
arriving in China for education in various programs like
Languages, Culture, Medicine, Engineering, etc. More
than 300 Universities have Foreign Students studying on
their Campuses.
Study in China
The Total Number of Foreign Students Studying in
Chinese Universities as of 2005 was around 1,50,000.
In 1999, 5211 Foreign Students studying in Chinese
Universities enjoyed Scholarships from the Chinese
Government, whilst all the rest were Full Fees paying
Private Students.
Among the Scholarship Students,
6% (332) were Doctoral Degree Students
15% (790) were Masters Degree Students
33% (1720) were Bachelors Degree Students
6% (317) were Advanced Non-Degree Students
39% (2052) were Non-Degree Students.

Shanghai, Guilin) is like visiting New York, Chicago,
Santa Fe, Jacksonville & Florida all in One Trip.
April, May, September and October are the peak

when the weather is most comfortable.

By the end of 1992, China had 1,075 Full Time
Institutions of Higher Learning with 8,81,000
Graduates & 1,320,000,000 Under Graduates.
There are 1,700 Research Institutes of Natural
Science run by Universities, 220 Research Institutes,
540 Research Centres of Social Sciences, 400 Key
Disciplines & 99 National Laboratories.
China's Universities fall under either the
jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, over
Ministries of the Central Government, Provinces,

The Academic Year of Full Time University
Courses is separated into Two Semesters .
The 1st
Semesters begins in September and
the 2nd
in February-April.
Each Semester has about 20 Weeks and
Each Week has six Working Days.
