Hey there!
I’m Carmela, a wedding and elopement photographer based in
Arizona but will travel anywhere for love! I am a lover of all things
outdoorsy and get fueled and inspired by beautiful desert sunsets,
windy mountain tops, and that fresh forest air.
My photography journey started when I picked up my dad’s camera
my senior year of high school and from then on, I never could put my
camera down. The reason I love photography is simple – I love people
and I love stories. I am passionate about capturing the genuine
interactions, spontaneous moments, and candids that make your
personality and love unique.
When a couple asks me to join them on one of the best days of their lives, it is something I take great
responsibility and joy in. When I see the way you laugh together, the way you look at each other, and your
wild passion for each other - I see your love as a work of art and it’s such an honor to capture those moments.
Exploring new places is one of my absolute favorite things to do which is why I love when my couples choose
outdoor and epic locations! I feel so blessed to be able to travel as a full time photographer to breathtaking
destinations for weddings and elopements. Sometimes, I still can’t believe that I get to do this full time and
I thank God for this incredible blessing that I call my job! I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet and

7. Can we meet with you before we book?
Yes! In fact, I highly recommend it.
If possible, we can meet in-person at a
coffee shop or schedule a Skype session!
How do I reserve my date?
A non-refundable 40% retainer and
signed contract are necessary to confirm
your date. The final balance of the amount
agreed is due 10 days before your wedding
date. I accept payments via Venmo
(@Carmela-Joy), check, or cash.
Should I have an engagement session?
100% recommend YES.
Engagement sessions are one of my favorite
types of shoots! Not only do I get to know
you better as a couple, but you get to know me
and experience my shooting style and
personality before your wedding day. Not only
will you get some sweet photos that you
can use for your guest book or for your
save the dates, but you’ll get to use this
as practice which will give you the confidence in
front of the camera on your wedding day!
What is your photography style?
My editing style is neither light & airy
nor dark & moody - I like to think
it’s a happy medium between the two. As for
‘posing’, I will guide you into interacting with
each other and give you prompts to make your
photos look as genuine and raw as possible!
PDA is always encouraged!

Do you have any vendor recommendations?
Absolutely! Ask me which vendors you are still
searching for and I would be happy to send
over a few of my favorite vendors.
What if we are shy in front of the camera?
I’ve got you covered so don’t worry!
It’s my job as your photographer to make you
feel comfortable in front of the camera.
I’ll guide you, but my main goal is to
capture the authentic love that you both share.
Should I add a second shooter?
Think about the logistics of the day and what is
important to you. Are getting ready photos of both
the bride and groom important to you? Are detail
shots of your dress, shoes, etc important to you?
Are your getting ready, ceremony, and reception,
locations pretty far away from each other? If you
answered yes and are hoping for almost every
element of your wedding captured then I would
recommend having a second shooter. For example,
if you wanted sunset bride and groom photos and
also wanted candids of your guests during cocktail
hour, it wouldn't be possible for me to capture both
unless you added a second shooter!
When will we receive our wedding photos?
5-8 weeks. I want to make sure everything
is perfect!
