Having finished my last semester of classes, I am now looking for a
Summer internship to complete my Video Game Design and Development
degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. I hope to acquire an
internship that will help me enhance and expand my skill set to better
prepare me for the video game industry.

skills
Tessellation Castle
Using Visual Studio 2012 and C++, I built a castle from scratch. It's composed of four basic
shapes: cylinder, cone, sphere, and cube. I created each shape using tessellation, in other
words, constructing the 3D shapes with only 2D triangles. I also implemented a FPS point
of view to allow the user to walk around the castle. Direction was calculated using the
mouse's horizontal and vertical angles, then converts those spherical coordinates to
Cartesian coordinates.
Left 4 Dead 2 Level
Using the company Valve's Source Engine's Hammer World Editor and Left 4 Dead 2
Authoring Tools, I created a Survival type Left 4 Dead 2 level. The level was a final project
for a Level Design seminar where we could choose any game to design a level for.
Instantly jumping to a favorite game, my initial plans were soon dashed when I realized
just how much I had chewed off. After talking to my TA and reevaluating my timeline, I
scaled my project down from a whole building to a public pool and then began teaching
myself Hammer. To finish the level I learned level design, prop setting, lighting,
texturing, modeling, logic relays, navigational meshes, and much much more.
