2. Santhosh Tuppad is a passionate software tester & expert
tester who comes from context-driven school of testing
and has tremendous experience in web application
testing and mobile apps testing through exploratory
testing approach. Be it functional testing or security
testing, he is a punter. He is also great at automating the
checks, so that he can invest more time in testing which
he loves.
His love for computers started when he was 12 and at 16 he was a
hacker. He founded TestInsane to create an ecosystem for people
who want to live their dreams in testing doing great work while
bringing delightful experience for customers. Prior to founding
TestInsane, he worked at Moolya Software Testing (where he was
also a co-founder, director, vice-president of security testing
practice). Currently, he is founder / chief at We love testing

THINKER’S HAT
Thinking is greatness, and greatness is my choice.
I can think testing through Lateral Thinking, Critical Thinking, Cognitive Thinking. Also, apply Psychological Techniques
which helps me understand from a end-user perspective and add value to the project.
I read books on Thinking (For instance, I have read Lateral Thinking by Edward De Bono and also another book by him
which speaks about “Six-Hats of Thinking”. And one of the greatest book I have read is “General Systems Thinking”).
I am thankful to Mr. Plutchik’s for introducing Plutchik’s wheel of emotions which helps me derive tests and find bugs
through emotions based heuristics.
BUG FINDING SKILLS
I love bugs, but just loving is not sufficient. I gotta have skills!
I can find bugs across functional, security, user interface and user experience, automation scripts or code, scalability
issues and more. I wouldn’t call this as “Jack of all, master of none”, but my passion to learn anything related to
software.
