V.S.T Tillers Tractors Ltd (VTTL) was incorporated in the year 1967 in Bangalore, India. It was promoted by
the V.S.T Group, a well known business house in South India, in technical collaboration and joint venture
with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan for the manufacture of Power Tillers
and Diesel Engines. The plant went into production in the year 1970.
SUMMARY:
The Internship was undertaken in the company’s Human Resource Department located at Whitefield,
Bangalore. It involved,learning and understanding the set-up of the complete Human Resource
Department focusing on employee data management and information, compliance and regulatory issues
related to Employee State Insurance Contributions, Provident Fund.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, Japan. The company is now the largest manufacturer of Power Tillers in
India. From the time of inception in 1967 by the founder Managing Director, Sri V.T.Velu,the company has
had a steady growth. Today the VST family holds 51% of the equity in the listedcompany that has recorded
consistent growth and has given excellentreturns to the shareholders. With the growth in business, the
manufacturing facilitiesfor Power tillershas been retained on the WhitefieldRoad in Bangalore, while that
of Tractors has been shiftedto Hosur in Tamil Nadu. This is keeping in mind the growing demand for
compact tractor for small farmers in the country.
SUMMARY:
The Internship was undertaken in the company’s Finance Department located at Hosur, Tamil Nadu.The
Finance Department of the organization uses IC 3.2 D software for financial operation. I gained knowledge
of the following:
Bill entry credit for Transport, Travel bills, Bank payment bill, conveyance bill etc. and also regarding service
tax calculations such as VAT, CST.
2. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITY:
During my college days I was an active member of National Service Scheme. And participated in camps like
Shramadaan, social awareness program relate to health, cleanliness.
