When to change gloves:
▪ As soon as they become soiled
or torn
▪ Before beginning a different task
▪ After handling raw meat, seafood,
or poultry and before handling
ready-to-eat food
23. Eating and Drinking Policy…
Foodhandlers must not:
▪ Eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum or
tobacco while working.
When:
▪ Preparing or serving food
▪ Working in food preparation areas
▪ Working in areas used to clean utensils
and equipment
34. ❑ Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) are to protect people
against work related hazards which may endanger their health
and safety.
❑ Necessary PPE will be provided to you and it is your responsibility
to wear them as appropriate at all times while working at the
assigned tasks,
➢ disciplinary action will be taken to any persons who fails to
comply with.
❑ Any PPE which become deficient in any way through normal
usage or normal wear and tear will be replaced. You need to
make a request once they became not usable.
❑ Keep provided PPE in suitable place & suitable manner to
prevent damages to them.

35. Chemical Handling
❑ Chemical should be handled with care & only by trained
people.
❑ Bad handling of chemicals will result in bad effects of such
may be immediate but can also appear several years later.
❑ Chemical splashes in eyes will even lead to permanent
blindness
❑ Chemical permeate your body through your mouth, nose &
through the skin
❑ Safety equipment & protective clothing can prevent you
from those risk of infiltration
❑ All chemical spillages should be cleaned immediately. All
cleaning materials used (I.E cloths) should be disposed
separately
❑ In case of a chemical accident, take the patient to a hospital
& it is important to take the MSDS sheet of the chemical for
the reference of the doctor.
36. Good House Keeping
❑ Keeping the working environment cleared of all
unnecessary waste provides first-line of defence against
accidents and injuries. (Good house keeping will reduce the risk
of accidents to a great extent)
❑ Housekeeping is the responsibility of all plant personnel,
and line management commitment will be demonstrated
by the continued efforts of supervising staff towards this
activity.
➢ Keep all walkways free of obstruction all the time
➢ Any liquid or slippery substances on floor has to be
cleaned/removed
immediately
➢ Electrical wires drawn across walkways are hazardous
➢ Do not store anything in a manner that will obstruct fire fighting
equipment, emergency exits, emergency call points and electrical
panel boards
➢ Store items like brooms & carts at their designated places
37. Stop work immediately
Shut-down all critical processes, but DO NOT SWITCH
OFF LIGHTS
Evacuate as soon as possible using; the shortest and
safest route
Guide your visitors to the evacuation assembly point if
any
Assemble at your evacuation assembly point
Participate in roll-call conducted by your departmental
head
Follow the instructions of Incident Controller
On hearing Fire/ Emergency alarm…
❑ If you are an emergency team member; take your
role.
❑ If you are not a member of any emergency team;
