2. UPDATE ON JUNO
Our Juno task has been planned out using storyboard sheets in
which we drew the series of shots that we are going to follow
found on the YouTube video of the opening of Juno.
We had to write down what is happening in the shots, what kind of
shot it is, what sounds will be used within the shots and the
duration of the shots.
Overall this was helpful as it gave us a more detailed development
of what we had to do to make the shots more similar to that of
the original.
3. OVERALL REFLECTION OF THE DEVELOPMENT
OF MY SKILLS
The first prelim task allowed me to add creativity to the shots we were
tasked to use and this task mainly focuses on the camera angle,
location, props as we have to make a identical copy of what the
beginning of Juno looked like, however we don’t have a professional set
so we have to use the camera to the best of our ability's.
This Prelim Task gives us more of a chance to practice birds eye view shots
and tracking shots which are more conventional to use opening titles
rather than narrative openings.
4. BRAINSTORMING
This week we started brainstorming ideas for what our opening could be
about and we first looked at what Genre we wanted it to be and how this
could relate to settings, characters, props and the conventions of a
genre.
Overall we were most interested and familiar with the Genre of Horror and
decided to brainstorm different ways in which we could use a
untraditional narrative for our movie opening.
