Housing & Toilet Mission
Over the last three years, TMM Nirmiti Kendra has worked on Ferro-cement as the main
technology of constructing Cost-Effective Housing and Low-Cost-High-Quality Toilets. It
addresses not only the needs of housing and sanitation, but also the issues of availability, the
ever-rising cost of raw materials and the possible scope of replicability, so as to create trained
man-power to address the immediate and future needs of modern construction in both rural
and urban areas.
With the Government’s focus on Open-Defecation-Free India by October 1, 2019 and
Housing-for-All by August 14, 2022, Ferrocement Toilets and Houses is the greenest, the
most calamity-free, affordable and sustainable means of pre-engineered construction.
