4. The car air conditioning (AC) system is a vital component of modern
vehicles that is designed to regulate the temperature and humidity

heat and moisture from the air inside the car, cooling it down and
circulating it back into the cabin. It consists of several key components,
including the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and refrigerant,

Conditioning System ?
● Air conditioning is to adjust the indoor air and make its temperature
,humidity , flow test and cleaness reach the requirement of human
comfort range.
● Air conditioning has two working basic modes:- cooling and heating
● Automobile Air conditioning system is a typical air conditioner
structure.

6. ❖ How AC Works in a car ?
● The air-conditioning system in a car works by manipulating
refrigerant between a liquid and a gaseous state.
● As the refrigerant changes states, it absorbs heat and humidity from
the vehicle and allows the system to give off cool, dry air.
● To change the refrigerant between a liquid and a gaseous state, the
air-conditioning system works to control pressure and temperature

● The compressor operation is a part of a
continuous cycle in the AC sysytem.
● The compressor typically driven by a belt
connected to cars engine.
● It compress the refrigerant gas absorb from
heat from the cabin and release it outside the
vehicle
● Compress the low pressure refrigerant gas
from the evaporator to a high pressure .

● Responsible for heat dissipation.
● The condensor is designed to radiate heat
● Located in front of the radiator .
● Hot compressed refrigerant vapour cools
at constant pressure to liquid.
● Condensor cool down the refrigerant.

● Remove heat from the inside of the vehicle
● Secondary benifit - dehumidisation
● Unconditioned air passes through a filter befor
entering the evaporator

● To protecting the compressor
● Prevent car compressor failure due to liquid
slugging
● Retaining moisture and contaminents from system
● Ensuring oil return

● In Ac system ,the condensor and
evaporator are either divided by expansion
valve or a orifice tube.
● The valve guages the output heat and
pressure level of the condensor.
● And also regulate the refregerant that
enters the evaporator.
