• We have a responsibility to use our natural
resources wisely by specifying building products
carefully and ensuring that these have a high
recycled content, where appropriate. The
materials that are used to make Buildings/
Structures should be available locally and
Economically.
• Local sourcing supports regional economies and
employment. Indeed, about 90 % aggregate
should travel less than 50 Kms to reach its
destination.

acknowledge it. However it is a cause of worry

6. Foam Concrete technology
• CLC is a process based on making air bubbles in the form
of a foam and then mixing the foam into a cement / sand
slurry. The slurry is then poured into moulds. Since CLC
slurries have higher cement contents,
• no autoclave curing is required
• – instead, the finished product is cured like normal
concrete or Steamed Cured with low pressure to achieve
early strength.
• CLC air bubbles are significantly smaller, stronger, and
each bubble is part of a closed cell system – which means
CLC blocks have lower water absorption.
• CLC increases its strength progressively under atmospheric
conditions

• CLC Bricks have excellent compressive
strength in excess of regular clay bricks /
solidblocks, guarantees min. Compressive
strength of 3N/mm2.
• Bending strength is 15 to 20% of compressive
strength.
• CLC Bricks density is 800kg/m2 which reduces
dead load on structures.
• Huge saving in foundation and structure
savings upto 30% on beam costs.
• Good earth quake resistance properties.

10. New Initiatives
• At present Regular Flyash brick is mainly
Replacing Red Brick.
• It has some quality issues affecting its usage
though it is cheaper
• As a technology Company we have initiated a
drive to overcome this
• We have also experimented with Baggase ash
with VNIT and Rice Husk ash with CLC
technology . It has potential to utilise many
wastes reducing Pollution effectively.
