 How are they shaped by people and varied
    processes?
 How is the work of parliament able to influence the
    laws made?
 How is the government able to influence the laws?
 Who is the main influential body?
 Who in turn makes the final decision?
 Why is this so?
 How do the courts influence the laws made?
 What is discussed in the main influential areas?
 Are they any misconceptions/ misunderstandings?
 What is the process of the production of the laws?
Parliament passes statute law.
To make a law you start with a bill.
It starts in the house of Commons or the
house of Lords.

committee stage – few members overlook
the law
Assent- Queen gives royal assent to the law.
 People are taken into consideration.

 Their values and beliefs are also taken.

 They want to think about peoples
    reactions.
 The work of government is able to
influence the laws in many ways.

 Made by making the bill go through
many stages before it is made a law.

   Allows it to be edited and changed;
    makes it better for people.
 The government are able to influence the
  law in many ways.
 They add whatever laws they want or wish,
  but within reason.
 Also they can amend laws or get rid of
  them if they so wish.
 They can change the law in which way it
  favours them.
 The main influential body in law is
  parliament.
 Head of our society and country.
 Make all decisions as a group.
 General public vote for which party they
want in power every 4 years.
 Need Majority Votes
 The person/company that make the final
decision depends on how far you go down
  the line.
 If you imply for the general law, then it is the
government but for individuals it’s the
  judge.
 i.e. the law might say that killing someone
should always result in punishment, but if it
was for self-defence, the charges might be
  dropped.
 This is because of the Queens superiority.
 Parliament makes the laws
 The queen then passes them.
 After this they are passed on and
  enforced amongst the people.
 The queen is head of the country; every
law must be made acceptable under
  her supervision.
 The courts are playing an influence by
how they have to consider many things.

 - Court Cases
 - Punishments
 - Allegations possibly made
› Practicality
› Feasible?
› Whether the Queen would approve.
› In which cases would this apply?
› How the courts can deal with the breaking
 of these laws .
 That they are made so they are
beneficial to the creators of the laws.
 Made to bring the creators of the laws
  more money.
 The queen only makes them because of
  her own gain.
 Although these aren't necessarily true.
 What do you think about these topics?
THANK
 YOU
