The above PPT is explained about the weed remover process.
this is a perfect mechanical oriented weed remover when compare the cost with others.
Every year in India, an average of 1980 Cr of rupees is wasted due to weeds. Our country faces the total loss of 33% of its economy from Weeds. The Losses are due to some of the following reasons, total loss of 26% from Crop Diseases, total loss of 20% from Insects and Worms, total loss of 6% from Rats.
Weeding control is done by mechanical weeding, thermal weeding: flaming, biological control, chemical control, and by the farming pattern. It has always been a problem to successfully and completely remove weeds and other innocuous plants. In this project, mechanical weeder is designed and erected to remove the weed completely
#SCOPE OF THE PROJECT#
Engine is to be set for effective weeding operation.
Profile of the weed remover blades should be Optimized. wheel with buttons should be used for easy movement of the machine over the mud.
The weight of the weeder can be reduced by using lightweight materials and by reducing the size of wheel.
Since the weeder was designed for low cost, the weeder was made manual but it can be made automatic by placing a motor.
By using some advanced attaching mechanisms, the time required for assembling can be reduced for additional attachments.4. Fixing the extra attachment of leveler.

3. SCOPE OF FUTURE WORK
๏ Engine is to be set for effective weeding operation.
๏ Profile of the weed remover blades should be

๏ The weight of the weeder can be reduced by using
lightweight materials and by reducing the size of wheel.
๏ Since the weeder was designed for low cost, the weeder
was made manual but it can be made automatic by
placing a motor.
๏ By using some advanced attaching mechanisms, the

4. OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE
๏ The goal of this project is to design and fabrication of a
manually Operated Agri Weed Remover by a simple
mechanism arrangement for the production of weed
remover.
๏ To prepare a weed removing machine for agricultural
land and to reduce the human effort of weed
elimination
๏ and to create a machine for low Cost. To save the time
of farmers and increase the productivity of food
varieties.
๏ To prepare a portable machine including number of
Blades, and simple in size.
5. ABSTRACT
๏ Every year in INDIA, an average of 1980 Cr of rupees is
wasted due to weeds. Our country faces the total loss of
33% of its economy from Weeds. The Losses are due to
some of the following reasons, total loss of 26% from Crop
Diseases, total loss of 20% from Insects and Worms, total
loss of 6% from Rats.
๏ Weeding control is done by: mechanical weeding, thermal
weeding: flaming, biological control, chemical control, and
by farming pattern. It has always been a problem to
successfully and completely remove weeds and other
innocuous plants. In this project, mechanical weeder is
designed and erected to remove the weed completely.
6. INTRODUCTION
๏ Manual weeding requires huge force and accounts for about 25
per cent of the total requirement which is usually 900 to 1200 man-
hours/hectare (Nag and Dust, 1979). In Nigeria, this operation is mostly
performed manually with cutlass or hoe that requires high input, very
tedious and it is a time-consuming process.
๏ Moreover, the requirement for weeding depends on weed flora,
weed intensity, time of weeding, and soil moisture at the time of weeding
and efficiency of worker. Often several weeding operation are necessary
to keep the crop weed free. Reduction in yield due to weed alone was
estimated to be 16 to 42 % depending on crop and location which
involves one third of the cost of cultivation
๏ Weeding and hoeing is generally done 15 to 20 days after sowing.
The weed should be controlled and eliminated at their early stage.
Depending upon the weed density, 20 to 30 percent loss in grain yield is
quite usual which might increase up to 80 per cent if adequate crop
management practice is not observed. Rice and groundnut are very
sensitive to weed as reported by Goel, et al (2008). Competition in the
early stage of growth and failure to control weeds in the first three
weeks after seeding, reduce the yield by 50 per cent
9. WORKING PRINCIPLE
๏ To use this machine in agriculture field the seeds should
be sowed at a distance equal to or more than the width of
this machine. This machine is of simple design without
using any motor or engine. Only a using a man power
and sprocket arrangement is used. This machine
eliminates the need for many workers and makes the
work easier, economical and efficient.
11. ADVANTAGES
๏ Mechanism is a simple one.
๏ Motor or Engine is not required.
๏ One Labour is enough for operation.
๏ Working is very easy compared to primitive work
method.
๏ Initial and maintenance cost are less.
๏ Time consumption is less for weeding.
๏ Three are no need petrol , diesel or liquid.
