2. What is wild card?
Wild card is the synbol that can change to any serach term.
An (*), this synbol is called “astarisk” and is used most common wildcard

3. A purpose of this experiment
In this experiment you will search for a topic using wildcard. By using wildcard, you
can check using wildcard is good or bad for your searching.

4. Materials and Equipment
Materials and equipment you need for this equipment are
・Computerized library catalog, see Experimental Procedure for details
・Lab notebook
・Graph paper

5. Experimental Procedure
Doing Wildcard searches
1. Use library catalog that can use on computer. You go to public library nearly
your home. And use catalog.
2. Test wildcard rules. You can find where you can use wildcards in serch term.

3. If you knew that how to use wildcard, you can start experiment. Choice the
topic that has multiple spellings to do your search.

4. Choose your terms with and without wildcards. For example run/run*.
5.Create data table in your notebook and record your data in notebook.

6. Insert terms into keyword box and click search botonn.

7.For each term, record in your data table.
a. The total number that natch returned
b. Write the memo that record returned word you want.
