Christmas Reflective Motif
To do this you will need to do the following:
1 - search and download
festive images e.g. Christmas trees,
presents, candy canes, food etc (download
images to your named folder on in the
Graphics Drop Box (create a new folder titled
‘Christmas Motif)
2 - Create a new Photoshop A4 document
Save this as “Christmas Motif” into your new
folder
3 - Right click and open
your downloaded images with Photoshop
4 - Cut out
each element (using object selection tool or
polygonal lasso tool
- Use the move tool drag and drop the
selection into your new doc
5 - Build stage 1 of your motif
cntl + J = duplicate
cntl + T = transform
(rotate/flip/scale)
3. 6 - Merge Layers
Once you are happy with your initial arrangement
- hold shift to select all the layers
- right click merge layers
7 - Duplicate the merged layer
(ctrl + J)
8 - Transform the new layer
(ctrl + T)
rotate/filp/scale layer
4. 9 - Now you can repeat the
previous steps to create more
complex layers, add other
elements or a background
10 Using the type tool write
“Merry Christmas 2021”
11 - Save and export and drag
and drop into your assignment
