1. GANESHA ON WALL
It is said no rituals are complete without the blessing of Lord Ganesha. Ganesha, the elephant God symbolizes a
new beginning in Hindu ceremonies .Ganesha widely revered as the remover of obstacles, Lord of beginnings and
Lord of obstacles remover, honored at the beginning of rituals and ceremonies. The name Ganesha is a Sanskrit
compound, joining the words gana (Sanskrit: ), meaning a group, multitude, or categorical system and isha
(Sanskrit: ), meaning lord or master. For centuries Lord Ganesha has been worshipped in almost every regions of
India in different forms and believes.
There can hardly be a Hindu home in India, which does not has an idol of Ganpati.This beautiful tradition has also
been depicted on the wall paintings outside every house of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan,India.

families take a privilege to invite the neighborhood to bless the Bride and the Groom. Few days before the wedding,
other rituals and ceremony begin Ganpati Sthapana is held. Blessing from the god of intelligence, Ganesh ji is taken
by bringing his idol home and getting that placed in the temple inside the house. The ceremony takes place at the
house of both the parties i.e. bride and the groom.
On the day of the wedding, a number of customs or rituals are observed. Some of the rituals performed during the
wedding are Ganesha Puja, Var Mala or exchange of garlands, Kanyadana, Mangalsutra, Saat Phere and Vidhai.
