To Whom It May Concern:
OJ Triforce when installed with ½” unrated gypsum or 5/8” wood structural panel or any material
providing an equivalent fire resistance rating fully covering both faces of the 3/8” OSB end web
fastened with 1” nails or screws at 6” c/c with 2” edge spacing is equivalent to 2x10 dimension lumber
per sections 302.13 exception 4 of the 2015 International Residential Code and R501.3 exception 4 of
the 2012 International Residential Code.
OJ Triforce was tested in a floor/ceiling assembly at the Western Fire Center Inc. located at 2204 Parrott
Way, Kelso WA 98626 on May 14, 2014 following the test methodology described in ASTM E119
(Standard test methods for fire test of building and construction materials) resulting in test report:
WFCI#14034dr1 revised on 6-2-14. This test report and FP Innovations Project No: 301010454
Technical Assessment – OJ 314 Fire Performance evaluation demonstrates that the product meets the
evaluation criteria for both ASTM E119 and IAPMO EC017-2014 and is in compliance with section
R302.13 exception 4 of the 2015 IRC and R501.3 exception 4 of the 2012 IRC.
