advantage of it to celebrate the approved suggestions
implemented (the ones resulting in savings as well as
the ones focused in overall process improvements ,
safety , quality and wellness)

Once a month , 24 employees names (direct and
indirect labor) are drawn aiming to spend a full hour
with me enjoying a nice breakfast and snacks .
During the given time all kinds of questions are
allowed and the main outcome is to boost the
integration between the top management and the
shopfloor

Once a month , 2 direct-labor (blue-collars)
employees names are drawn aiming to spend a full
hour with me , so as to get to know each other in
more details as well as allowing the individual to ask
questions about the company.

Once a week , a group of ca. 10 people (who are
actually studying English) gather round with me to
practice English speaking and listening during 1
hour.
As for SSB, we could implemente the ´Spanish-
speaking practicing´ hour with Roberto
16. Birthday celebrations
Each month , during the town hall meetings ,the
employees celebrating birthdays are invited to the front
stage where a candy box is handed over by the plant
director followed by a show of hands.
A draw is then carried out with one being eligible to
have a lunch with plant director.

A Picture with the manager and the employee is
taken and displayed at the cafeteria´s bulletin

Each Diamond card ´worths´ 5 points and by
summing up 20 , the employee can choose a gift
such as a shirt or a rucksack

Inbetween existing line stops due to
preventive maintenance , she came up with
an improved packaging layout that
increased 40% the bin storage with pumps ,
generating savings in bins usage.

What he did !
Simple, but worthy idea : suggested to reuse an
in-process plastic cap that was usually
scrapped and replaced to another similar one
at final assembly , hence allowing a yearly
saving of more than USD10,000 .

of convex mirror to be installed
at all forklifters , improving in
this way , the overall driver
and pedestrian safety

What he did ! By using lean tools
(spaghetti charts) , he could optimize
