Frontier Fiesta is aTexas sized celebration showcasing the talents of the University of Houston Family and its many communities
while promoting unity, scholarship, and education. This student run, student led event is the one of the oldest traditions on campus,
dating back to 1939. In its golden years Frontier Fiesta was known for being the“Greatest College Show on Earth”and since it’s revival in
1992 the event has only gotten bigger and better with an average attendance of 25,000 guests.
Inseekingcorporatesponsorship,theFrontierFiestaAssociationgainsthefundingnecessarytoproducetheevent.Fundscollected
from donations will be used for development, production, and operations of the event and most importantly to provide scholarships to
current and future University of Houston students.
Frontier Fiesta sponsors receive name recognition, publicity, and benefits from the event through various means of marketing
and communications. Some of the pieces include Frontier Fiesta merchandise, email and social media, event programs, and the Frontier
Fiesta newsletter. Your company’s name would be in front of thousands of students, alumni and friends who are a part of this long
tradition before, during and after its showcase.
The University of Houston has an enrollment of over 40,000 students this year and continues to grow each semester. It is the
most diverse university in the state ofTexas. With over 70% of our alumni population remaining within the Houston Metropolitan area
after graduation, their attendance at this event is high – and expected to be higher this year. Your sponsorship will have an opportunity
appeal to true Houston residents.
The Broadway-style variety shows, carnival booths, and cultural exhibits are famous around the Houston area for being
professional and entertaining.They make great attractions for families and children.
The staple events of Frontier Fiesta are the concerts and cook-offs. Our concerts feature a wide range of performers that include
Latin, Country, Hip Hop Soul and many more. Our world class cook-off teams compete in multiple food categories and are always a crowd
pleaser. Sponsors have the option to become judges for the cook-off.
There are multiple levels of sponsorship available to fit the needs of your business. The Frontier Fiesta Association is flexible to
forming partnerships with any and all respectable establishments regardless of size. In kind donations are always accepted and can be
used to fulfill a sponsorship pledge. Participation in specific marketing opportunities is available.

HISTORY
In 1940, a group of students started a tradition known as Frontier Fiesta.This annual event had variety shows performed by students and
concertsandwasintendedtobringtogetherUniversityofHoustonstudentsandtheHoustoncommunity.Thetraditiongrewtremendously
overthenextfewyearsandbecamehugelypopular,drivingHoustonmayorstooftendeclare“FiestaCity”andofficial“town”fortheweek.
Hollywood stars such as Humphrey Bogart, James Garner, Anne Baxter, Kenny Rogers, and Patsy Swayze were attracted to the annual
event. Life magazine once dubbed it“The Greatest College Show on Earth.”
Since its revival in 1992, Frontier Fiesta continues to be the staple event at the University of Houston and its focus remains on student
success through involvement and education.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Every year, the Frontier Fiesta Association at the University of Houston
awardsscholarshipstodeservingincomingfreshman.Thesescholarships
not only reward academic and community achievements, but also
recognize outstanding efforts in leadership. Scholarship recipients are
chosen through a committee of university faculty and staff.
Over the last fifteen years, Frontier Fiesta has awarded more than
$100,000 in scholarships. In fact, in 2013, Frontier Fiesta granted
$11,000.

Family Fun Day Sponsor- Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, March 22nd, from 10am to 2pm. Not only will University of
Houston Alumni bring their entire family to the Fun Day festivities, but also all guests are encouraged to bring their family to experience
Frontier Fiesta and the University during one of its oldest traditions.

FIESTA CITY
Every year, the students of the University of Houston come together
to construct the fronts that will eventually house the variety shows,
carnival booths, and historical buildings. These fronts become
elaborate structures that showcase the students’ creativity and
ingenuity. The Frontier City Midway, which includes the Frontier
City Bank, Jailhouse, Dr. Lee’s Courthouse, and Museum fronts, has
beenastapleattractionofFrontierCityforgenerations.TheMidway,
alongside with the fronts built each year by students, come together
to form Fiesta City. Once Fiesta City is open to the public, Frontier
Fiesta has officially begun.
Along with our Variety Shows, Concerts, and Carnival Booths we
also have our annual silent auction. We encourage you to donate
something to our auction. All of the proceeds will go towards our
efforts to give as much money away in scholarships.The value of the
item you donate will be tax deductible just like any other donations
you make. I also want to encourage you to take part in the auction,
we are looking forward to some great items in the auction pool.
