Nigeria is highly vulnerable to climate change due to its high exposure to risks like erosion and flooding, sensitivity of its major economic sectors, and low adaptive capacity. While some policy documents provide frameworks for responding to climate change such as the National Adaptation Strategy and Plan of Action on Climate Change for Nigeria and the National Climate Change Policy and Response Strategy, more concrete actions, programs and activities are needed to address climate change issues in Nigeria.
