JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Engineer : Working as a Electrical Engineer in a foreign going vessel
were responsible for the proper working, maintenance and protection of Main
engine, Generators, Transformer, Control Panel, Alarms, Lightning, Battery House,
Radar, Sonar, Eco Sounder and all other accessories related to electrical.
Project Engineer: As a Project Engineer there was a big responsibility of laying a
substation. I was working in this contracting company since initiation of my career I
started my work as supervisor and after two promotions I became project engineer.
In this company I was responsible for all the electrical installation in the sub-station.
Working for Reliance Energy we had laid substations of 11KV/440V in different
type of conditions and different type of substations and there distribution to feeder
panels.
WORKING EXPERIENCE
Electrical Officer : In merchant navy I was Electrical Officer in a foreign going
vessel where I was responsible for the proper working, maintenance and protection
of Generators, Transformer, Control Panel, Alarms, Lightning, Battery House and

5. SHORE WORK EXPERIENCE
Project Engineer: Working with one of the India’s leading Electricals Contractor
Company(MS Electrical’s) I joined this company just after the competition of my
engineering. As a Project Engineer there was a big responsibility of laying a
substation.I started my work as supervisior and after two promotions I became
project engineer. In this company I was responsible for all the electrical installation
in the sub-station.
Working for Reliance Energy we had laid substations of 11KV/440V in different
type of conditions and different type of substations and there distribution to feeder
panels.
Details:
Supervisior: As a supervisior I was responsible for:-
1. Selection of site.
2. Installation of feeder Panels and Feeder Poles at calculated distance.
3. Linking of feeder Panels and Feeder poles with cable.
Site Engineer: As a site engineer I was handling twelve supervisiors and my duties
were:
1. To look for the work of supervisiors.
2. To locate the site and distribute it among the supervisiors for their individual
work.
3. To arrange for the requirements.
4. To connect the feeder panels with the sub-station.
Project engineer: After one year of hard work in MS Electricals I was promoted to
Project Engineer that is the incharge of the whole sub-station and my duties were
as follows:
1. Selection for the type of sub-station according to the site.
2. Laying of transformer in the allotted site.
3. Connections of the transformer to the main line.
4. Calculations for the no. of feeders and the load distribution.
5. Arrangements for proper Isolators and the Circuit Breakers for installation.
6. Link of C.B.’s to the feeder panels and feeder poles.
