1. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), often known as Thapar University, is a Deemed-
to-be University that provides more than 20 programmes in the fields of science, management,
engineering, and technology. It is now taking applications for the class of 2021. BE, BTech, ME, MTech,
and MBA are just a few of the prominent courses offered by TIET. Every year, applications for MBA and
PhD programmes open in June and April.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has given the Deemed-to-be University a "A+" rating
(NAAC). It now has seven schools, ten divisions, and more than nine centres. Furthermore, a total of 264
employers visited and placed about 971 students at TIET placements 2020. More than 25 students
received numerous employment offers out of all the students who were placed.
2. Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar
Studying at an institute like IIT Ropar was a fantastic experience. The department had a good mix of
professors and well-organized labs that worked on various research topics. The placement cells can also
help you get a nice job right after you finish your master's degree. If you wish to learn more about

3. NIT Jalandhar - Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, or IIT RPR, is one of the eight new IITs formed in 2008 by the
Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India under The Institutes of
Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011. It is located in Rupnagar, Punjab. Various national and international
rating agencies constantly rank IIT Ropar; in 2020, it was placed 25 for Engineering and 29 overall in the
NIRF Ranking. IIT Ropar provides BTech, MTech, and MSc programmes at the undergraduate level, as
well as PhD programmes in a variety of areas.
2. 4. Chandigarh University (CU)
Chandigarh Institution (CU or CUCHD) is a private university recognised by the UGC and accredited by
the NAAC with a "A+" grade. NIRF 2021 placed it 52nd for University and 16th for Architecture. CU,
which was founded in 2012, now has 18 component institutes that offer over 200 courses, including
Chandigarh University Institute of Distance and Open Learning (CU-IDOL). Engineering, Science, and
Management programmes are well-known at the university. According to the yearly rankings given by
the Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Government of India, Chandigarh
University emerged as the leading stand-alone institution for filing the most patents in a year, with 336.
5. LPU - Lovely Professional University
Lovely Professional Institution (LPU) is a private university in Jalandhar, Punjab, that was founded in
2005. It is accredited by numerous national organisations, including UGC DEB, NCTE, COA, PCI, ICAR, BCI,
IEI, and ITPI, and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also a member of the
Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Outlook ranked the university 13th for Private MBA in 2021. In
2020, the NIRF ranked it 78th for Private Universities.
LPU has worked with and inked MoUs with a number of leading firms in India and overseas throughout
the years to provide industry immersion opportunities for its students. Google, Bosch, Microsoft, DELL
EMC, CISCO, Intel, WMware, SmurAgro, and Cadence are just a few of the top companies. It also offers a
BTech programme in partnership with leading companies like upGrad, Xebia, CompTIA, NSE Academy,
and Safeducate.
