As Director and Principal Consultant for MR1 Consulting Ltd., he has an established position as an expert within the
construction industry and instrumental in the successful delivery and ICT development on many major projects. His role is
typically that of BIM/3D modeling consultant assisting the implementation of innovative solutions in both new business
processes and technical application.
His reputation has been built on a wealth of background knowledge and experiences working with most major consultants
and contractors; research manager on many successful academic projects, pushing the boundaries of 3D project
modeling, BIM, software development, industry standards and business and people processes. He is able to bring the
direction and cohesion that enables task teams to deliver robust solutions.

• 1997 Winner Construction Industry Awards ‘Innovation in IT’ (Project - Heathrow Express). Authored the
British Airports Authority (BAA CAD) standards and innovative electronic management solutions for the project.

• Consultant on the Heathrow Express project, post the collapse, developing innovative methods for design
management, 3D project modelling and 2D detailed design production for the tunnels, rail and buildings.
• Consultant for the Terminal 5 Programme in 3D modelling, BIM and new business processes for collaborative
working.
• Author of the developing business processes and methodologies for the development of the 3D Object Oriented
Project Model (BIM) and the management processes known as the ‘Common Data Environment’ (CDE).
• Co author of the Construction Project Information Committee (CPIC) publication ‘Production Information – A
code of procedure for the construction industry’ 2003.
• A principal consultant on the DTI PII .75M project for ICT and the Building Lifecycle Model. The programme is
