2. Gratitude
In this chapter I want to talk about gratitude because gratitude is a very important part
of success and change.
Now, when I talk about gratitude, it's not just thanking people for what they've done and
showing gratitude to them.
This is really important, but it's showing gratitude for what you have in your life.
Now I know it's really easy when you look at your life and you say, "I have nothing" or "I
can't ļ¬nd anything to be happy about" why? Because you're overweight, you are in debt,
you are between jobs.
Maybe you don't like the job that you have, but the problem is if we don't give gratitude,
we're sending out negative energy to the universe.
In the journal that you have, there is a section to give gratitude every single day.
In your journal you will ļ¬nd a section for being grateful for something each day. Just
one thing!Ā
Now you need to ļ¬nd something because I know as I said previously, you may say, I've
nothing to be thankful for or to be grateful for but think about, for example, you have a
job.
Be grateful for that. Okay. You have debt. Well, I'm grateful because I was able to be
extended a line of credit in order to have my house, my car, my iPhone, whatever it may
be.
Start with small little things like that. Start to look for things to be happy about in your
everyday life. When I go out for a walk I give gratitude that I live in a beautiful city like
Barcelona because the sun is shining at the moment. It's really warm now.
I could look at it in the an other way and say, I love Barcelona, but the heat, it's killing
me. It's like three, four months of heat.
I can't take it anymore. It's not fair, it's too hot. You will see a change in your self when
you are moaning and not grateful. Physically your whole appearance will change.Ā

3. Gratitude
So Instead of complaining about the heat, I think "I'm grateful that I have air
conditioning that will keep me cool while I'm in the house. I'm grateful that it's a sunny,
not raining again."
I'm looking at the positive rather than saying, damn the sun. I'm really tired of the sun.
It's making the land really dry. It's doing this, it's doing that.
Let's look at the positive in everything and give gratitude, so for the next week, for the
next two weeks, in fact, for the rest of your life, I want you to ļ¬nd one thing that you're
grateful for every single day .
Write it in your journal until it becomes a habit to be grateful every day.
