3. Daily activities; (a) Eggs collection for daily production, classification of diff. types of eggs,
(b) Making daily report, monitoring temperature, humidity, CO2
(c) Monitoring feeds, water, checklist of mortality, preventing sever diseases,
(d) Checking all mechanical equipment to make it running daily; ventilation,
conveyor, humidifier, water pump etc. to make sure all are

Weekly activities; (a) Chicken body weight, selection male chicken in partition, culling,
(b) Fertility check, monitoring feed ratio to avoid over weight,
(c) Water tank cleaning, flushing water line,
(d) Cleaning of feed truck, removing left overs, cleaning of cooling pad,
removing of dust in ventilation for proper air circulation and cleaning of the
nest.
Proper personal hygiene is necessary to prevent common diseases and maintain good bio security.
Maintain clean environment to have healthy chicken and better productivity.
Field practicum in dairy farm
– I have a dairy farming experience at Central Mindanao University (CMU)
Bukidnon as my field practicum in compliance to the requirements in obtaining a
diploma. I do my hands on milking dairy cattle and dairy carabao as early as 4:00 am
& 3:00 pm, after milking do pasturation of milk for micro bacterial control in preparation
for marketing.
MIRA FARM
– is one of the biggest farms in South Cotabato and General Santos City owned and
managed by Mirabueno family. They have four areas in different location;
Area 1 at Matenao, Polomolok South Cotabato; this is where we were planting hays, fattened 50
Brahman cattle, fed 360 Yorkshire swine and pastured goat and sheep.
Area 2 at Tupi South Cotabato, where we were farrowing sows.
Area 3 at Gawan Brgy. San Jose General Santos City where we were performing rodeo,
dehorning, branding and giving vitamins in some cow that are nut good or unhealthy.
