2015 sees the birth of Green Solutions S.A. (Formerly known as SmartHome Solutions)
Green Solutions S.A specialises in: Solar hot-water heating, PV – Photovoltaic Solutions,
Home Automation, Renewable Energy Solutions, Wireless Lighting Controls, Energy
Efficient Lighting, Wireless Energy Auditing, Wireless Electricity Monitoring, Grey-water
Systems & Building Management Systems.
Since 2007, Quintin Masters and SmartHome Solutions have been providing holistic
automation solutions to the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors.
In 2014, Tory Masters joined forces with Quintin, bringing together 14 years of
entrepreneurial experience to provide exceptional services and solutions in Renewable
Energy at a time when it is most needed!

Recent work completed:
• ACSA (Airport Company South Africa)
Supply and installation of a complete BMS (Building Management
System) and energy saving occupancy sensors in the Port Elizabeth
Airport’s Energy Saving Project. Successful monitoring from the BMS has
resulted in the system being included in the specifications for the other
Airport ACSA Energy Saving Projects around South Africa.

• Residential Homes & Beauty Spa
We have installed our Home Automation in residential homes throughout
South Africa, giving style and functionality to our clients and ensuring that
we keep them up-dated with the latest software and releases. We also
had the opportunity to create an automation package as per our clients
exact design for the beautiful Aqua Spa in Humansdorp.

Unstable & Costly Electricity and the need for Cutting Edge Technology:
• Excessive electricity costs which will continue to increase. As well as unstable
power supply as Eskom continue to struggle with the energy demand.
• Security is now on the increase due to the scheduled blackouts / load shedding.
• Unmonitored electricity consumption – which results in unnecessary usage.
• Out of date lighting controls/switches, which cannot be moved once installed and
requiring unnecessary cabling.
• Geysers relying on electricity and costing approximately 50% of a domestic
electricity bill.

SOLAR GEYSER SYSTEMS
Our Powerz-On Flat Plates have been SABS approved to the highest
efficiency standards, they are proudly manufactured in South Africa
with the exception of the specialized MIROTHERM coating (which
increases the efficiency standard above our competitors) which we
import from Germany. Our panels come with a Ten Year Guarantee,
but have an expected life span of 25 + years. Installation is done to
SABS standards and COC’s are provided.
Our Solatherm Geysers also hold the bench mark for the highest
efficiency standards, with 60mm polyurethane insulated coating and
come with a 10 Year Maintenance Free Guarantee.

13. HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS
We are proud Suppliers of the Enerflow Air to Water Heat
Pump, which has been rated as the SABS highest efficiency
standard Heat Pump on the market with a COP of 3.2+. Our units
have a UPVC casing which provides a very long lifetime as opposed
to other Heat Pumps which are encased in mild steel. The parts
inside our heat pumps are all treated with Blue Kemp coating which
further increase the Heat Pump’s lifetime. All parts are easily
available as the Enerflow Heat Pump is the most popular Heat Pump
sold in South Africa. The unit comes with a 5 year limited guarantee.
Residential, Industrial & Commercial and Mining
Our Duratherm Geysers are the perfect partner to our Heat Pumps as
they are excellently efficient and come with a 10 Year Maintenance
Free Guarantee.

PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) SYSTEMS
PERFORMANCE
High efficiency, multi-crystalline silicon solar cells with high
transmission and textured glass deliver a module efficiency of up to
15.9%, minimizing installation costs and maximizing the kWh output of
your system per unit area.
Top ranking in the “TÜV Rheinland Energy Yield Test” and the “PHOTON
Test” demonstrates high performance and annual energy production.

total consumption per hour would be 2500W (2.5kW). The average cost
for a kWH is R1.50 resulting in a cost of R3.75 per hour.
In comparison
50 x LED 5W lamps would use 250W (0.025kW). At R1.50/kWH the
running cost would be R0.375c per hour.
