To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Quincy Thomas as he
pursues employment in the field of education. I am the owner of Beller's Music/
DuBaldo Music, a well-respected family-run music store offering instruments,
rentals, repairs, and private instruction.
After meeting Quincy in April, 2014, when he came to us to purchase a tuba, I was
impressed with his sincerity and respectfulness. At the end of that year, I hired
Quincy to assist us with end-of-year inventory and work as a sales associate.
Quincy's responsibilities then expanded to include not only sales of instruments and
accessories, but assisting customers with applications for instrument rentals,
performing instrument cleanings, maintaining daily upkeep of the store, and,
beginning in January of 2015, private instruction.
It did not take long for Quincy's rapport with students to become evident. Quincy
shows genuine interest in each student and truly wants to help each of them
achieve their personal musical goals. He relates well to a wide range of learners,
from beginner to advanced, from reluctant to confident, from those easily
distracted to those highly focused. In all of these cases, Quincy has shown the
same consistently high level of enthusiasm and dedication to bring about the
success of his students. He is eager to share his knowledge of music. He educates,
not only in the lesson room, but also as he interacts with customers.
In every facet of his work, Quincy has proven himself to be prompt and dependable
and he always maintains professional appearance and demeanor. He possesses an
upbeat attitude and a positive outlook. What one notices immediately about Quincy
is his outstanding courtesy, which we saw extended to all customers, coworkers,
students, and parents. He has an exceptional ability to make those he encounters
feel welcomed and valued.
I am pleased to recommend Quincy Thomas for any position involving instruction or
supervision of young people. Should you require more information from me, please
ask. I will be happy to help further Quincy's career.
Sincerely,
Edward P. DuBaldo
