– Guadix and Baza are two towns in the Province of Granada, neighbours, sisters
and rivals. X, a worker from Guadix, found a buried sacred image of the Virgen
de la Piedad (Our Lady of Mercy) while working on the land of Baza. Encouraged
by his Guadixan countrymen, he attempted to carry the sacred image to Guadix,
but Bazans snatched it before he arrived, punishing what they considered a
sacred theft. When X returned to Guadix empty-handed, his countrymen, who
expected the image of the Virgin, were deeply disappointed and viciously
pursued those they considered responsible for their frustration. Finally, hero
and people reconciled, they prayed to the Virgin who was in the other town.
Since then, recalling those events that unite and oppose them, Baza and Guadix
celebrate the Fiesta de X for three days in the late summer of each year.

indication (GI) tag for their famous sweet dish.

5. ID X
– X is a common English word, which owes its origin to a Latin word. It is used for
certain kind of people, because of their occupations. In Ancient Rome, the
people having this occupation used to wear white. So, it is derived from a Latin
word meaning “shining white”.
Candidate
– From Latin candidatus ‘white-robed’, also denoting a candidate for office (who
traditionally wore a white toga)
6.
– X was an American game show that judges the business skills of a group of
contestants. It has run in various formats across fourteen seasons since January
2004 on NBC. It was created by British-born American television producer Mark
Burnett. Billed as "The Ultimate Job Interview", the show features sixteen to
eighteen business people who compete over the course of a season, with usually
one contestant eliminated per episode. Contestants are split into two
"corporations" (teams), with one member from each volunteering as a project
manager on each new task. The corporations complete business-related tasks such
as selling products, raising money for charity, or creating an advertising campaign,
with one corporation selected as the winner based on objective measures and
subjective opinions of the host and his advisors who monitor the teams'
performance on tasks. Episodes ended with the host eliminating the poorest
contributor from the competition, with the words "You're fired!"

way to make it newsworthy.

– Mercury used to be used in the making of hats. This was known to have affected
the nervous systems of hatters, causing them to tremble and appear insane.
The use of mercury compounds in 19th century hat making and the resulting
effects are well-established - mercury poisoning is still known today as
‘________ _________ disease'. That could be enough to convince us that this is
the source of the phrase. The circumstantial evidence is rather against the
millinery origin though and, beyond the fact that hatters often suffered
trembling fits, there's little to link hat making to the coining of the phrase.
