PRESENTATION

3.  Definition : Audio is sound within the acoustic( the sense of
hearing) range available to humans.
 Frequency : An audio frequency (AF) is an electrical alternating
current within the 20 to 20,000 hertz (cycles per second) range that
can be used to produce acoustic sound.

4.  It is really simple to use audio files in your application. Just like the graphics you
use on the display to convey some information to the user, you can use audio to
convey information to the user in your application.
 Android supports music and sound through MediaPlayer class. This class is
available in android.media package.
 setVolumeControlStream() method is used to tell the Android that the user
presses the volume up or down keys while this application is running. This will
adjust the volume of the audio file being played instead of the ringer volume.

5.  Media player is an android application which play various of audio
and video files.
 Aim: To make use of android os with more public interest and
make it more user friendly so all can use it.
 The application will play audio files with format of mp3, AAC, 3gp,
M4A, MIDI, RTX, OGG, WAV.
 Background playing option.
 Notification on the home screen.

 getCurrentDuration()-returns current position in ms.
 getDuration()-return total time of duration of audio.
 Reset()
 Release()
 setVolume(float leftVolume,float rightVolume)
 setDataSource(FileDescriptor fd)
 selectTrack(int index)-select track from the list.
 getTrackInfo()-retuns array of all track information.
