1. Research Stage
The electronic cigarette is a battery-powered device which simulates tobacco smoking. It generally uses
a heating element that vaporizes a liquid solution. Some
solutions contain a mixture of nicotine and flavorings, while
others release a flavored vapor without nicotine. Many are
designed to simulate smoking implements, such as cigarettes or
cigars, in their use and/or appearance, while others are
considerably different in appearance. They are often used to stop
smoking or to avoid breathing all the harmful substances that
classical cigarettes contain.
Answering my guiding questions
My task will be to make a video sponsoring a health technology. I will do my product on the
electronic cigarette. I will use my iPhone to record it and then I will edit it probably with
iMovie. iMovie is a proprietary video editing software application sold by Apple Inc. for Mac OS
and iOS. iMovie imports video footage to the Mac using either the FireWire interface on most
MiniDV format digital video cameras or the computer's USB port. It can also import video and

My target audience is any age from fourteen years old on. More in detail it will be for any teen ager who
smokes because in the video teen agers are going to play the parts. To appeal to my target audience I
will make it very clear that someone is addicted to smoke and passes to the electronic cigarette. To
make my product I will probably need about four hours including the editing. To make My product as
effective as I want I will need to have a lot of information so I will need a video which lasts until 3.30
mins.
To make my message clear I will explain in detail all the dangers of smoking and the benefits of passing
onto the electronic version. In my video a smoker will change type of cigarette and will admit it is much
better.
