Coming soon: S-CAPEKIDS to evacuate infants in emergencies.
We are currently developing and testing an evacuation device for newborns and babies. Newborns can be small and fragile. This device will help hospital staff to bring babies to safety.
S-CAPEKIDS evacuation mattress will enable the evacuation of 4 babies simultaneously. We expect to have S-CAPEKIDS ready in January/February, 2017.

COMING SOON!
2. We're currently developing an
evacuation mattress for infants and
newborns.
Almost any hospital around the
world has the same evacuation
policy for babies. In an emergency, a
nurse wears an apron with large
pockets that hold 2-3 babies. Then
they proceed to evacuate. The nurse
may flip and fall, which will injure
the babies. Once the babies are
outside, there is no place to put
them. You can't just lay them
somewhere outside.

3. WHY
S-CAPEKIDS?
H O W I T A L L S T A R T E D . . .
Preventief from Hedel (The Netherlands)
inspired us to develop this life-saving
device for little babies.
Preventief cares for fire safety in childcare
centres and they needed a evacuation tool
that carers would be comfortabel to use in
an emergency evacuation.

According to United States Fire Administration, children under age 5 are twice as likely as the
rest of us to die in a fire. Children are our future and we want to share our concern about their
safety during fire situation. Evacuation drills must be conducted on a regular basis, and a
record of each fire drill must be maintained. The evacuation plan must be easily accessible
and visible in a conspicuous location. Primary emphasis must be placed on the immediate
evacuation of infants and newborns. Prevention and planning are key to protecting
newborns and infants. Your staff needs adequate equipment to assist them during an
emergency evacuation. S-CAPEKIDS enables one carer to evacuate four babies at once with
very little effort.
5. We'll need to prevent these
kind of situations:
2009
49 babies in a
daycare centre.
Hermosillo, Mexico
2013
7 toddlers in an
orphan home.
Lankao, China.
2016
2 children in a
daycare centre.
Sana'a, Jemen.
2016
24 babies in a
hospital.
Bagdad, Irak
