To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in enthusiastic support of Phil Vinegra. He is talented graphic
designer, a hard worker, and a team player. I am an assistant professor in Monmouth
University’s Department of Art and Design, and Phil was my student for about two years in
classes such as Typography, Graphic Design 2, and Motion Graphics 1 and 2.
In my Graphic Design 2 course, students were instructed to create a fictional non-profit and
an accompanying branding campaign. Phil developed an eye-catching and effective
campaign for an animal rescue organization – complete with an original logo, print
collateral, infographics, and an interactive iPad publication. Phil’s projects for his
Typography course demonstrated a mastery of layout, type choices, poster design, as well
as a creative and original typeface design.
Most recently, Phil created very interested work in my Motion Graphics 2 course. As part of
his coursework, he created a beautiful animated sports logo. Additionally, the entire class
worked collaboratively on a 60-foot wide video map projection that played in Convention
Hall in Asbury Park during the annual holiday tree-lighting ceremony. He created original
content, and proved to be a valuable team player.
I recommend Phil Vinegra without hesitation. He is a versatile, talented designer, and would
