One of my hobbies was to
draw maps BY HAND…
I worked for AAA making

for 11 years!
...until they closed our
office :(
So I went back to school to learn GIS

Philadelphia area
o Serving 9 counties in PA and NJ
o Over 400 agencies
o Providing food to over 75,000 people
every week
● Celebrated its 30th anniversary
last year
o Founded in 1984

o 5-year estimates, update annually
● TIGER Shapefiles
o Join ACS data to geographic files
● Build GIS database
