General Radiology Skills include interpretation of general adult and pediatric imaging
including fluoro exams (pediatric upper GI exams, BE’s), plain films, CT, US, MRI, and
Nuclear Medicine studies.
Specialty MSK experience including hundreds of arthrograms performed and interpreted
over the last 11 years. This includes sports medicine imaging as the primary interpeter
of MSK cases for Virginia Tech Athletics. I have high recommendations from both Dr.
Marc Siegel and Dr. James Lebolt, both prior team orthopaedic surgeons for VT sports.
Specialty interventional pain management skills including vertebroplasty and
kyphoplasty, fluoro guided interlaminar and transforaminal epidural steroid injections,
nerve root blocks, facet injections, SI joint injections, bursography, and celiac nerve
block.
Both basic and more advanced interventional skills including all manner of body
biopsies and drainages, including lung biopsy, renal biopsy, thyroid FNA, liver biopsy,
transgluteal pelvic abscess drainage, etc. I also perform percutaneous nephrostomy
placement, ureteral stent placement, gallbladder drainage, IVC filter deployment and
retrieval, central venous port placement, tunneled dialysis catheter placement, tunneled
paracentesis and thoracentesis catheter placement (Aspira catheter).
Women’s Imaging experience including MQSA certified lead interpreting
mammographer, both screening and diagnostic. MRI and ultrasound evaluation of the
breast. Stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI guided breast biopsy procedures as well as
both wire and I-125 seed breast localizations.
I am currently listed on our hospitals NRC license for administration of I-131 for Iodine
ablation and scanning. Other nuclear medicine experience includes basic imaging (bone
scans, HIDA scans, Gastric emptying studies), as well as cardiac stress SPECT
imaging with Cardiolyte, and oncologic PET/CT imaging.
MRI interpretation experience for both body and neuro evaluation, as well as MRA and
MRV exams. I have experience using various MR contrast agents including Magnavist,
Eovist, and Ablavar.
