Have you ever been to a wetland or a river? We
will explain all of the features about them.
Including animals, temperature, the landscape
and so on. I hope you will enjoy our
presentation.
The earth is covered by a chain called river
systems. A river is formed from a small creek
on a mountain. Creeks are small bodies of
rainwater. The water eventually flows down hill
and forms a larger stream. When a few larger
streams join together, a river is formed. Did
you know that a river is actually just a larger
version of a stream?
The temperature around these areas depend
mostly on how the water is flowing.
- The river otter
- Different species of fish
- Turtles
- Ducks
- Insects
- Newt
- The Amazon River is one of the biggest rivers
in the world. Did you know that 20% of
piranhas in the Amazon are vegetarians?

- The Nile river located in East Africa and is the
longest river in the world. Scientists have
found that the Nile gradually changed it’s size
      over millions of years.
A wetland is an area that is saturated with water.
This is an area where the soil is completely
soaked, either year-round or seasonally. A
wetland could also be a slow moving river, but
it includes coastal islands, swamps, and many
other ecosystems. Much of the wetland area is
covered in sawgrass, the sharp edges of each
blade of grass is just like teeth on a saw.
-Alligators and crocodiles
-Manatees
-Snakes
-Turtles
-Wild pigs
-Crayfish
The average temperature around wetlands are
  about 30 degrees C.
The weather around these areas are humid, sticky
and wet. Occasionally, it is rainy.
