5. Current Projects
Digital
Our team are operating within a number of digital programs driving speed to market and
accelerating market facing systems to enhance brands. Our Agile teams are working on
comprehensive digital objectives for one of the largest global gaming organisations; integrating
3 brands into one and implementing location based advertising objectives for a new product.
The solution consists of highly complex, real-time algorithms for gaming odds with straight
through processing of settlements.
VoLTE
Our specialised engineers and testers are integrating the Ericsson Core Network solution
for one of the top 3 Australian Telecommunications companies. Voice Over Long Term Evolution
(VoLTE) will provide voice over the data network thus enabling the decommissioning of the
voice core and halving the related support requirements.
Contact Centre
By mixing a strong mix of technical expertise and governance our test team are integrating and
testing a Avaya Contact Centre solution with Salmat multimedia gateways and new call Avaya
routing core including all applications, whilst the migration from the original telecom provider
to a new one for over 2600 call centre staff. This includes functional and non-function across
High Availability, Disaster Recovery and building the automated Cyara test suite.
We are leveraging the collective skills within our service lines to deliver specialised contact centre
solutions by integrating and testing CTI and IVR technologies from Avaya, Cyara, Genesys, Verint and
Customer Relationship Management from Siebel, and voice biometrics solutions to deliver contact
centre operations within the Banking and telecommunications sectors across the country to more than
4,000 seats. This includes the automation of functional and non-functional testing; service assurance
for Highly Available solution that services the Australian market and provides continuity of service.
IT transformation
Our specialised telecommunications teams are providing the test management, governance
and integration for a Tier 1 organisational transformation including provisioning, billing, CRM
and Business Intelligence. The objectives of the 2 year transformation program delivers hard and
soft business benefits, streamlines the change process, and reduces both CAPEX and OPEX costs.
OSS transformation
Our technical test team are providing test governance, management and testing services
for a complete greenfield OSS capability as part of an overall IT transformation. The OSS
level will decommission the existing layer and implement more effective support options
and self-healing diagnostics.
VIP CRM Project
We are responsible for the overall project delivery of the technology and business processes for
a new VIP CRM solution. Using SaaS, mobile applications and workflow reengineering, we have
been able to integrate service providers and redesign and embed a fresh new set of in house
capabilities that puts our business, NSW and Australia on the world stage.
The VIP business arm is the primary form of income for our client aiming to treat their VIP clientele
to a world class array of entertainment services, this business project aims to attract, and retain
these key overseas clients.

6. Recently Completed Projects
Our collaborative
team is instrumental
in the outcome and
success of current
and past programs
of work.
Limit In December 2013 Perpetual acquired The Trust Company and
in early 2014 the Integration project began to merge them. Two
streams were introduced into the project portfolio, shared
technology and business systems.
We provided Project Management services to deliver the shared
technology stream. This stream was required to deliver a combined
network, email, video-conferencing, storage of data and physical
relocations. The current phase in progress is the migration of 1,000
seats from various email platforms (including Lotus Notes and MS
Exchange) to Office 365.
The Sportingbet (William Hill) acquisition of TomWaterhouse.com
created the need to integrate its people, processes and systems
into the Sportingbet business. This included the development of
a newly designed responsive website. We managed the entire
program and supplemented their project team with consultants
specialising in Transition Management, a Test Environment
Management and Test Analysis.
The Technology Demerger program comprised separating over
50 applications including an Oracle ERP system and the migration
of 2,800 seats from an internally hosted Microsoft Exchange to
Microsoft’s first cloud offering Business Productivity Online Service
(BPOS). This was later migrated to the latest version, being Office 365.
A key to successful delivery of this program was establishing
stakeholder relationships, enabling the core project team to
keep senior executives from both organisations informed of,
and pleased with, the outcomes.
Resulted in the team winning the 2012 AIPM IT Project of the Year
Award in the Victorian and Australian categories.
On behalf of
With Nokia Siemens Networks, we delivered the Federal
Government Network Emergency Warning System (NEWS)
solution for Vodafone and Optus.
Within our program, the networks and testing teams verified,
integrated and then managed the government trials for acceptance
of the network event and cube calculation system. The system
warns subscribers across all mobile networks in real-time about
potentially catastrophic events and is heavily used during the
bushfire season.
The Spinifex program enabled Vodafone subscribers to improve
their coverage from 79 to 96% throughout Australia by roaming
on the Optus network in non-coverage and rural areas. We
provided the project services for the program across requirements
definition, business analysis, design and architecture, systems
integration, project management, testing services and post
implementation support and activities. Additionally, we provided
drive testing, customer experience and boundary testing for
handover between the two carrier networks.

7. Recently Completed Projects
We are responsible for quality assurance on all Toyota Finance
Australia’s (TFA) major programs, as well as a large percentage
of business-as-usual work, including end to end test management,
integration services, and governance across the projects for
Fleet Management, Finance, Call Centre, automated IVR and
Customer retail lending systems that support ongoing demand
for vehicle financing.
The most recent example of our success was TFA’s Collections
implementation. This project involved implementing a completely
new debt collection, credit reporting, defaulting and BI capacity
to the finance, risk and compliance division of TFA which interfaced
with existing systems, some being 15 years old.
Our key successes were:
– Over 600 defects identified and resolved.
– Accolades from all customer stakeholders for our agility,
testing expertise and professionalism and recognition from
CEO and CIO for outstanding partner performance.
In 2012, Salmat completed the $375m sale of the BPO division to
Fuji Xerox. As a result, approximately 1,200 staff and a number of
physical assets inclusive of three Data Centres. The transition of
staff and structural separation of the business was time sensitive.
The challenge was to manage the overall risk profile establishing
new Data Centre facilities in Melbourne and Sydney in order to
transition more than 80 enterprise and revenue generating systems
without jeopardising revenues and compliance obligations.
DX Solutions developed a risk-based strategy that categorised
systems and then prioritised effort. The approach was based the
following migration methods:
– Virtual Server to Virtual Server (V2V)
– Existing Application Physical to Virtual Server (Physical to Virtual
(P2V) followed by a Virtual to Virtual (V2V) migration process)
– Existing application server to a new server build (Rebuild/
re-Platform); and
– Lift & shift.
In December 2013 we worked with Vodafone on the LTE 4G mobile
program. We provided outcomes for engineering, integration,
test and vendor management for the Core Evolution Program.
This program replaced the Nokia Siemens Core Network with
the new CISCO Core Network for legacy voice and core network
services. Additionally, we consolidated the network through
cloud-based delivery of 2G/3G/4G mobile, Wi-Fi and fixed services.
