Editor's Notes
The Development centre was purpose built and contains TRP's analytical testing, development compounding, extrusion and chemical testing. In addition to its own facilities TRP partners with specialists such as SMITHERS Rapra.
TRP was originally formed by Mr Peter Children who had a wealth of experience in the Rubber Industry. On Peters death his wife Gina became the majority shareholder. His son Simon becoming MD.
Simons mother and sister are actively involved in the running of the company.
TRP Hereford site is currently (Feb 2015) undergoing some major changes to improve workflow throughout the site.
In addition the changes will allow for new office accommodation (April 2015) New Tool-room (May 2015) and a new rubber mixing plant for specialist high value compounds (Nov 2015)
TRP modern range of moulding machines (Average age 5 years) (Ind average 20) span from 300 mm x 300 mm to 3900 mm x 1750 mm
The largest range of presses (25 in the uk) are 700 ton 1830 mm x 950 mm These have been designed for the manufacture of large flat mouldings.
