When a person goes online they want to have total control over what websites they view. People expect their service provider to not manipulate their
data and connect them to all the websites they want. When people use the internet they want Net Neutrality. Net Neutrality is a basic method that
prohibits service providers like Verizon and AT&T from speeding up or blocking websites people want to use. Net Neutrality is the way the Internet
works.

I initially heard about net neutrality via an Instagram post. (Which is, by the way, the most millennial thing I've ever written.) It was a link to an online
petition to protect net neutrality. In layman's terms, or the terms from an anarchist teen's photo caption, the government wants to control how we use the
internet. They want to block sites that don't support their agenda! They want to cOnTrOl YOU! Without net neutrality you will turn into a brainwashed
government s l a v e. SIGN OUR PETITION! SIGN IT! Removing the emotional, angsty, and edgy tones from this plea, they essentially have the whole
idea behind net neutrality correct. Except that the government doesn't want to control the internet for no reason. There is one reason: money.

even with Title II in effect, some companies have found a way to circumvent those rules in order to 'play favorites' as it were. For instance, when
AT&T customers access the Direct TV's streaming service they may find that the data extrapolated from the service used did not count towards their

Data discrimination can be described as, "the selective filtering of information by a service provider." This is something that could become
