2. Registration process
• Two type of registration process :-
– 1) For small scale, proprietorship(If yearly
transaction is up to 2 million)
– 2) For big scale, private limited.(if yearly
transaction is above 2 million)

3. Registration process
1)If both owner and pharmacist/pharmacy technician are
same person
i) At first one have to registered in
Department of drug administration
(DDA), with necessary document
such as:-
Citizenship certificate, all academic
document of pharmacist from S.L.C
to pharmacy degree or diploma in
pharmacy degree, respective
council registration certificate Map
location of pharmacy, agreement
between house owner and
pharmacy owner, application letter
to director of DDA according to
format prescribed in schedule 8 of
Drug act-2035.
One have to pay aforementioned fees as
prescribed in schedule 14 of drug
act
2) If owner and pharmacist/pharmacy technician
are different person.
i) All documents as in first case,
ii) Appointment letter from owner to
pharmacist/pharmacy technician.
iii) Citizenship of both owner and
pharmacist/pharmacy technician.
For small scale
6. Registration cont..
• After fulfilling all criteria and paying fixed fee,
DDA issue registration certificate in format as
prescribed in schedule 9.
• Initially It have validity for 2 years and after
that it have to renew each year.
9. Registration of small scale cont..
• After obtaining registration certificate from
DDA, now pharmacy should be registered in
company registration office which have to be
renew in every 5 years.
• After that it have to be registered in income
tax office and get PAN number of the
pharmacy. And yearly income tax and rent tax
should be paid.
10. Registration of large scale (Pvt ltd)
• Every procedure and document is almost
same.
• In this case at first, pharmacy should be
registered in in company registrar office and
income tax with document such as article of
association, company law certify by
authorized notary office.
• Then it get registered in DDA.
