or other industrial equipment.

Major Overhauling
Major overhauling is to service all mechanical testings before
removing of turbine we can check clerences of top casing
rotor,runout checking of turbine in dynamic rotating by
hand,dismantling of oil glands,oil seals,journal baerings,thrust
bearings
6. Minor Overhauling
• Minor Overhauling is to service where we get any minor
damage,there we can do minor overhauling
Major overhauling NDT(Non Destructive Testing)
1. UT-Test(Ultrasonic test)
2. MP-Test(Magnetic Paricle test)
3. DP-Test(De-Magnetic Particle test)

9. Major ovrerhauling of Turbine
●Locking of the tubine.
●Dismantling of lube oil and control oil lines
around TG set.
●Dismantling of journal and thrust bearing of
turbine.
●Dismantling checks of bearings and
journals.Inspectionof journal bearings by DP-test.
●Dismantling of parting plane bolts.
●Jacking & lifting of top casing.
●Checking internal clearences.
Eg:LP-side ,HP-side clearences,Front,Rear Bearing
clearences,etc,.
●Checking alignment of turbine to gear box.
●Checking alignment of gear box to genearator.
●Dismantling of all thrust & jornal bearings.
●Lifting of turbine rotor from position.
18. MP-TEST(Magnetic parictle test)
•In MP test will do in dark
room.
•Because we will observe
colors.
•That colors will indicate the
internal damage.
•We will spray the developer.
•After that colors will indicate.
26. Blue Matching
•Blue matching is a mating of
two or more elements.
•Blue matching will do when
will do final assembly for good
results.

33. Commissioning
•Commissioning means after
completion of overhauling or
final assembly we can start.
•First we can kept oil flushing
min 4-6hrs.
•After oil flushing we can kept
in baring gear(6-8hrs).
•After finishing of baring
gear,we can give load.
