One of PRINCESS DORCAS' fairy godmother, BATTLEAXE, concocts an excellent idea for hiding the infant Sleeping Beauty from DAISY the evil fairy -- transport her to another time and place, a place where she'd definitely blend in. Circa 2000, Malibu, California, and now Dorcas is sixteen and it's time to go back to Fantasy Land. Oh, she doesn't mind the 'marry the prince' thing, but this modem girl would like to pack a few necessities (like her car and her computer). Plus commute between worlds through a magic portal controlled by Battleaxe (there is a mutual tolerance) so that she can show off her PRINCE HUBBY to her high school friends. The befuddled KING SIMON and prudish QUEEN PRUDENCE, who still act very medieval, aren't sure if they like their new modem daughter and her addiction to twenty first century toys. The Queen is constantly heard asking, "Are you sure this is our daughter?" Modem conveniences in a primitive society? Somebody's going to have to either wake up or grow up!

Based on the immortal classic, "Sleeping Beauty".
One of PRINCESS DORCAS' fairy godmother, BATI'LEAXE, concocts
an excellent idea for hiding the 'infant Sleeping Beauty' from DAISY
the evil fairy -- transport her to another time and place. A place
where she'd definitely blend in. Circa 2(X)() , Malibu, California, and
now Dorcas is sixteen and it's time to go back to Fantasy Land. Oh,
she doesn't mind the 'marry the prince' thing, but this modem girl
would like to pack a few necessities (like her car and her computer).
Plus commute between worlds through a magic portal controlled by
Battleaxe (there is a mutual tolerance) so that she can show off her
PRINCE HUBBY to her high school friends. The befuddled KING
SIMON and prudish QUEEN PRUDENCE, who still act very medieval,
aren't sure if they like their new modem daughter and her addiction
to twenty first century toys. The Queen is constantly heard asking,
"Are you sure this is our daughter?" Modem conveniences in a
primitive society? Somebody's going to have to either wake up or
grow up!

4. CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
PRINCESS DORCAS: Female/16 years. The Sleeping Beauty. Smart.
Athletic. Head cheerleader at school. Doesn't need a prince to stand up for
her, but if one's willing . .. Nowthat she's a princess, she can quit her job at
Happy Burger (which she was about to lose). Whines a lot. Complained when
she learned she'll be going back to Fantasy Land. Stopped complaining when
she saw Prince Hubby. She tries to adjust to her new lifestyle, but it's not
easy. Dorcas likes to be in charge of most situations and has a little trouble
taking direction or criticism from others, especially Battleaxe. She gets a good
swift kick in the pants in every episode.
BATI'LEAXE: Female/500 years. Inspiration - Marjorie Main. The Good
Fairy (make that pixie) responsible for keeping Dorcas out of trouble. Strong
advocate for Love at First Sight. Wishes she wasn't so nearsighted.
Constantly on the lookout for Mr. Right. Raised Dorcas in the twentieth
century. Wonders if she may have spoiled her a bit. They are often at each
other's throats. She refers to Dorcas as "the kid". Guards the magic portal
that allows Dorcas access to both worlds. Likes to wear what Dorcas calls
"retro-modern" clothes (circa 1960's and 70's). She's groovy.
PRINCE HUBBY (HUBERT): Male/ 19 years. Also not too thrilled about the
concept of arranged marriages until he saw her. Prince Hubby is Princess
Dorcas' most prized possession. If he wasn't such a knock-about, he would be
the most charming prince who ever walked the face of the earth. Very
storybook-like. Heavy on the chivalry even when the princess does not want
him to be. Dorcas will round out this flat character if it kill him (and she
sometimes comes close to killing him). Boasts of having slain ten flre-
breathing dragons at once. Blind to the fact that women swoon over him. He
doesn't realize that most men want to do him some severe physical harm.
Dorcas makes sure that all her girlfriends know that this is her man. He'll go
to the pits of Hell for her. He won't like it, but he'll do it.
HAL (HALITOSIS): Male/3 years old. Dorcas' adopted pet flre-breathtng
dragon. About the size of a St. Bernard puppy and just as cute. A non-
speaking character. This is as close to having a child as Dorcas plans to get.
Hal is allergic to just about everything. Frequently setting things on fire
accidentally. In the twentieth century, he'll have to be kept on a leash. Not
too fond of (read: hates) Prince Hubby. Has some problems when Dorcas takes
him to the twentieth century dog obedience school. Dogs are beneath him.
I
5. KING SIMON: Male/mid-fifties. Model - Gale Gordon. Always baffled by his
daughter's eccentricities. Very old fashioned (medieval). Dorcas sometimes
seems to speak in a tongue foreign to him. Yet it's called English. Sometimes
wishes he could escape to the twentieth century for a vacation away from
Queen Prudence. Battleaxe shows him how to be a "swingin' hepcat".
QUEEN PRUDENCE: Female/mid to late forties. Everything must be done
strictly by the book. In the beginning, she is convinced Dorcas is not her
offspring and will go to great lengths to prove her case. "Although she does get
her beauty from illY side of the family." Prudence would love to lock Dorcas in
a room full of spinning wheels, but just to tame her. She would never
intentionally hurt her. If this really is her daughter, she will love (or tolerate)
her.
DAISY: Female 600 years (more or less). The evil fairy. MixMinnie Pearl with
Ursula. Dwells on what others "shoulda" done ("shoulda invited me to the
ball", "shoulda remembered my birthday", etc.) A wannabe social climber.
Doesn't remove price tags from anything she owns, even if she made (conjured)
it herself. Extremely frustrated every time her well thought out plans to 'bump
off Dorcas fail. Dorcas always outsmarts her. She has been working
extremely hard at this and just wants to experience the thrill of victory. This
battle is personal.
WHAT'S-WS-NAME: Male/17 years. Real name - Duke. The original
B.M.O.C. Dorcas' ex-boyfriend from when she was just another gorgeous blond
(now she's The Gorgeous Blonde). The muscle-head will probably never realize
they're no longer an item. Prince Hubby will combat this villain and rescue the
fair Princess Dorcas from his clutches, even when she doesn't need him to
rescue her.

EPISODE STORYLINES
1. "FLATBROKE" Just arrived from the twentieth century, Princess drives
Beamer down unpaved medieval road. Flat tire(s), runs out of gas in the
middle of Fantasy Land. The spoiled Baywatch Princess never considered this
problem. How is she going to get out of this mess? Anything is better than
asking Battleaxe for help. Should she hitch a ride on a passing donkey cart
(beneath her)? Battleaxe magically fixes the tire and fills up the tank, but still
complains to "the kid" about the price of gas (she still has to pay for the stuff).
Hal sneezes and sets the car on fire.
2. "PRINCESSANDTHE LIMABEAN" Queen Prudence is certain this is
not her kid, puts her to a hilarious series of RoyalTests (including the tired old
'lima bean under the mattresses routine' -- "Why not a pea?" "It was one of
the producer's creative decisions.' I'd ... rather not go into it.") Dorcas has
insomnia. Daisy suggests working a spinning wheel. "That usually puts me to
sleep." "Haveyou tried John Tesh?"

screaming to twentieth century so he can be her ultimate Prom Date -- in other
words, show off to her girlfriends). Plan backfires when Prince Hubby fmds
there's a greater selection in the twentieth century and Dorcas has to drag him
kicking and screaming, and prying offher girlfriends, back to Fantasy Land.
4. "LlTILE RED ROBINHOOD" Simon's constant daydreams take him to
"Sherwood Forest where he becomes Robin Hood, robbing from the rich and
giving to the poor. Prudence becomes Maid Marian, Battleaxe is Friar Tuck,
Dorcas is Little John, Daisy is Prince John, Prince Hubby is Will Scarlet
(dressed in red -- not his color) and What's-His-Name is D'Artagnan, the
musketeer who doesn't know he's not supposed to be in this story.
5. "HOWTO OPERATESPINNINGWHEELSFOR FUNANDPROFIT' Daisy
tries unsuccessfully to get Dorcas to touch a bewitched spinning wheel.
Takeoffon home Shopping Network infomercials.

Different union. Call me a fim:y again and I'll put a wart on your nose the size
of Jersey." Her constant quest for Mr. Right rages on. Borrows Princesses
laptop to access dating service on Internet and exaggerates a bit on her profile.
7. "THEFULL-CONTACT'KICK-JOUSTINGTOURNAMENT"Princess Dorcas
shows off by teaching Prince Hubby a few Kung Fu moves. Prince Hubby
decides to incorporate his new Kung Fu into upcoming jousting tournament.
Doesn't quite work out the way he planned. Gets the livin' tar beat out of him.

~ b~auttful goot!!b~()k~ptng. In very eloquent tones, a
NARRATORbegins the tale of "Sleeping Beauty". The pages of the book
illustrate the christening ceremony of the infant princess, DORCAS. As the
pages turn, we SEE the evil fairy, DAISY,bestowing a curse on Dorcas. On the
child's sixteenth birthday, she shall prick her finger on a spinning wheel and
take one long siesta. Dorcas' fairy godmother, BATILEAXE,devises a plan to
hide the princess where she would blend in and Daisy would never be able to
find her. The pages turn again, REVEALINGsixteen year old Dorcas working
at a hamburger stand in present day Malibu, California.
Later, during Dorcas' sweet sixteen party, Battleaxe (who now resembles
a stuck-in-the-sixties hippie) tells her about her heritage and that she must
return to Fantasy Land and marry PRINCEHUBBY,her betrothed. This does
not seem to present a problem once Dorcas sees his picture. Battleaxe later
shows Dorcas where the Magic Portal to Fantasy Land has been hidden all
these years: inside the jungle known as Battleaxe's closet. Battleaxe warns
Dorcas not to bring anything with her when she goes through at the appointed
time and don't be late. She then goes through by herself to prepare Dorcas'
parents, KINGSIMONANDQUEENPRUDENCE.
At the Fantasy Land Royal Court, the kingdom anxiously awaits the
extremely overdue princess Dorcas. REVEAL Dorcas driving Battleaxe's
Beamer convertible, complete with U-Haul trailer. at top speed down an
unpaved medieval road somewhere outside Fantasy Land. The car overheats
and a tire goes flat.
Dorcas. using her cellular phone, calls Triple A and gets stuck in the
usual holding pattern to the tune of "AMan and a Woman". Meanwhile, back
at the Royal Court, a very teed off Battleaxe goes looking for Dorcas.
Cutting back to Dorcas' car we FIND her looking under the hood
helplessly. We HEAR "A Man and a Woman", Part XIV, play over the cell
11. phone. Overhead, we SEE a familyof wild flyingdragons. The baby, HAL,gets
separated from his parents, bumps into a tree, and lands PLOPonto the hood
of the car. Dorcas looks up and is instantly in love with the adorable little
fellow. She cuddles him. Hal sneezes and torches a tree.
A series of shots shows Battleaxe flying through the kingdom frantically
searching for Dorcas. She leaves a trail of psychedelic pixie dust behind her
and gets stuck in a trafficjam of flyingdragons. Queen Prudence, at the same
time, drives the Royal Court crazy by rearranging everything over and over
again.
When Battleaxe finds Dorcas, she and Hal are trying to push the car and
trailer, which are now stuck in mud. You can hear the princess whine a mile
away. Battleaxe scolds Dorcas for bringing all her "toys' after she had been
told not to. Dorcas begs Battleaxe to let her keep Hal. Battleaxe gives in,
telling her everything except three items will have to go back. Dorcas chooses
the car, her laptop, and one of her charge cards. Battleaxe sends the rest of
Dorcas' stuff back through the Magic Portal and, with a wave of her magic
wand, fixes the car and fills it with gas. She complains about the price of gas
(she still has to pay for it), and prepares to fly back to the Royal Court. At
that instant. Hal sneezes, and the car is toast. As we TRACKour and close
the storybook, we HEARBattleaxe's screams of bloody murder, "1only had one
- more - payment!!!"
