was from that moment on, that things started to change in her life.
One day after coming back from a training when she entered at Toolink she met Cundasawmy Louis
Patrick. Patrick asked to her “Ranini where do you come from” Ranini Said “Training” Patrick Say “what training?
volleyball?” Ranini Says “No Kick Boxing” Patrick Says “Come on and let’s do some sparring so that I can see how
you fight” Ranini at that time had no idea that Patrick was a Coach. She said “ok let’s go”. With the very first
move she got 2 high kicks right in the face … lol .They then sat down talked a little and with time they became
good friends.
After some weeks Patrick asked Ranini if she would like to try a little bit of Boxe franciase savate and she
immediately agreed. They started to see each other more frequently, to talk as friends and to train. As time
passed by, they became good friends, fell in love and got married on 26th
December 2008.
From that time till now Ranini is under the mentorship of his husband Patrick, creating an incredible a mix of sports
and love. In 2008 both of them quit their job at Toolink Crm to set up their own business - DJP Production with the
help of their nephew Jason Dewkurun who is always there for them. Creating their own business allowed them to
have more time for their passion - Martial Arts.
3. In 2005 she began to participate in Boxe Brançaise Savate tournaments. She qualified for the World Championship
Boxe Française Savate held in France but upon reaching there the federation of the Boxe Française Savate told her
that she would not be able to fight and the gave no reason.
In 2006 she won the Jeux de l'ouest female champion Title in boxe française savate.
2007 - 2010
Ranini’s boxing club BMA Sports (previously known as “Boxe Française Savate De Bambous”) faced some
difficulties, having no premises for training and no participation in competitions due to ongoing problems in the
Federation. All competitions and savate events were banned by local authorities. Despite the hardships, Ranini
kept on training as hard as ever even if the club were forced to have their training sessions on the streets.
4. 2010 - 2013
The Club she in which trained joined the Federation de Muay Thai and D.A. The club’s name was changed from
“Boxe Francaise Savate de Bambous” to “Bambous Martial Arts Sports Club” with new members and a new
Managing Committee with her husband as President-Coach and herself as Secretary. They secured premises for
training at the Social Welfare Centre of Bambous. In Year 2010 Ranini and Patrick started their journey into the
Muay Thai world with the help of the Federation de Muay Thai et D.A (FMTDA). It was a great opportunity.
In 2011 Ranini founded the BMA Female and Kids Team.
She attended several Muay Thai Competitions for the year 2010 - 2012.

after, secured a Bronze in the World Championships 2014
Ranini thought that wining a bronze medal in a World Championship would open doors for her in terms of support
and she expected that finally his husband/coach efforts would be recognized. Unfortunately it was not the
5. case. Now Ranini is concentrating more in Muay Thai, MMA, K1, in which there are better openings.
