What happens at the
Eppson Center?
Today’s Eppson Center was com-
pletely remodeled for this pur-
pose in 1996. The 13,500 square-
foot-facility is all on one floor.
With a canopied drive-up en-
trance and automatic doors, the
Center is ADA compliant. It suc-
ceeds two previous locations: 311
Canby St. and 103 Ivinson St.
Each month, five days a week,
the Center provides about 1,200
low-cost congregate meals and
1,800 Home Delivered Meals.
Volunteers always are needed to
help with delivering meals.
P.A.T.S. (Public Assisted Trans-
portation Service) buses and vans
provide about 1,100 rides per
month to disabled persons and
seniors. This is door-to-door ser-
vice. Patrons ride the bus to Cen-
ter meals and events and to med-
ical and other appointments.
The Center has a full commer-
cial kitchen; the Ivinson Dining
Room with seating for 150; a
large multi-purpose room; exer-
cise equipment; exercise, yoga
and dance classes; therapeutic
massage; acupuncture. The an-
nual budget of the Center is
about $700,000. For information
about renting the facility for
events call (307) 745-5116.
