1) This project aims to create an exhibition to explore the 25 years of Hubble's mission and how it has improved our understanding of the universe.
2) The proposed exhibition would allow audiences to experience what it's like to be Hubble by placing planetary models throughout a dark room, with each planet emitting its real sounds as detected by NASA.
3) Feedback from test audiences indicated that using glue to display information on the walls worked better than text, and that introductory information should be provided before entering the dark exhibition space.
4) The finalized exhibition concept involves an introductory lift ride to mimic Hubble's launch, then a dark circular space with planets spread around, where audiences can walk amongst the
4. Brief
Since 1990 that Hubble is launched,
it has made a huge contribution to our
understanding and knowledge from
the universe. As one of NASA’s most
successful science project, it has
unveiled many secrets above the world
above us through sending thousands of
images from the universe. This project
aims to explore the 25 years of Hubble’s
mission to explain that how it improved
our knowledge about the universe.
5. Research and analys
What is Hubble and what are the
interesting things about the Hubble for
adult audience?
- The stars, the galaxies, birth of the
planets, information that Hubble is
sending us about the planets and other
galaxies and where is the Hubble.
- Based on the conducted interviews,
the photos that Hubble has got from
space are very interesting specially the
information about the birth of the planets
and also the age of the universe.
- The point is Hubble has worked for
nearly 26 years. Where Hubble is and
what is the experience of Hubble in the
space?
It would be interesting to be like the
Hubble and feel the space.
I have looked at different sources such
as relevant websites, NASA, newspapers
and exhibitions about the Hubble. Then,
I have decided to design an exhibition
for this project. Firstly because a good
exhibition can affect on the audience and
usually it is more memorable and easier
to learn about the subject when you can
visually and physically experience it.

6. Sound of each planets by NASA. These
sounds will give the audience the feeling
of being in the space
like Hubble.
The idea of using motion in the Hubble
exhibition is to influence on the audience.
It is not just about learning, it is about
experiencing as well. Showing what
Hubble has found and when it was found
and what Hubble experienced in the
space.

I have designed a huge exhibition with
different sections. The sections are about
Galaxies, Space and Planets. The other
section was Hubble’s model and a video
about what Hubble has found.
I have used the glue in the dark colures
for making the Galaxies.
9. Second part of the exhibition: Installation
of Galaxies into the space.
Feedback and interviews:
Maria GMD, Lecturer: In the exhibition
there are so many things. It is better if
you focus on one. The sound of space
or each planet could be very interesting.
You should think about how you want to
use it.
Most interesting thing in this exhibition
was the sound of planets. Some of the
audience did not know anything about
the sound of planets. They heard about
it for the first time which makes it very
interesting for them.

11. The idea of the typeface is coming from
the aperture door of the Hubble.
Feedbacks that I have got from Maria
and Josh, GMD Lecturers at LCC:
“Regarding the Poster, It is a bit hard
to read the typeface designed for the
Hubble. I like the typeface you have
designed. Regarding the Brochure,
why did you use this colure for the
background? Perhaps you don’t really
need a brochure for your exhibition. The
background colure is not really good
and the font you have used is not easy to
read.
Feedback from Giorgio, GMD third year
student:
Why did you choose this color? I think the
Hubble that you designed is really good.
The line that you have tried to show
the planets and space looks like clock
hanging bell.

12. Evolution & Testing ideas
The idea is to show what Hubble has
found by taking images from the different
planets. Design a way to make a
connection between people, Hubble and
space.
In this exhibition, each audience could
be the Hubble and would experience and
observe the space by themselves.
How to show the planets and information
about them?
How to make use the sound of space
(each planet)?
Each of these white circles is a planet for
which I have tried to show their relative
sizes by putting them next to each other.
I have used speakers inside each of the
planets in order to play their sounds.
When the audience go near to them they
can hear the sound.
Feedback from Maria, GMD Lecturer:
It might be better if you design the
planets smaller and spread them on the
floor.
Think what type of technology you can
use for the sound and how you want to
give the data to the audience.
14. Feedback from different audience :
Have you visited the Big bang data?
They have an area in which the small
earth is designed for the audience to
walk around the planets.
16. Based on my research, I have found
a Speaker which is described as
“listening to headphones, without the
headphones.” A speaker that only directs
sound at the person who is facing the
speaker even if there is a crowd of other
people in the room. I think it Is perfect for
my exhibition.

I have read some books about exhibition design. These
books helped me to find the way of showing my data in
exhibition. Using glue in the dark white colour for the data
on the wall.

20. Audience are experiencing the
Hubble journey in space and
hearing the sound of space and
the planets. The information
written on the wall is related to
the time that Hubble took photo
of the planets and some more
information about the planets.
Each audience has a paper
that they can draw their journey
as Hubble in this exhibition.
The also can experience the
Hubble positioning for taking
the Images and information
from each planets. I also show
the audience the sound of each
planet by looking directly at the
planet.
What they get from the
exhibition is to know the sound
of planets, when Hubble gets
Information from each planet
and when the images of the
planets are taken.
They will learn about the
general information of the
planets.
23. Which Data Is given to the audience in
this exhibition ?
1. The photos that Hubble has got from
the planets.
2. Journey of the Hubble.
3. Which planet is the nearest to the
earth and the last one we have found.
4. Sound of each planets
5. What are these sounds and how can
we hear them?
6. First pictures Hubble have got from
planets
Datas in the Exhibition and
feedbacks
The best way of showing the data, light
or glue in the dark colours?
Feedback from most of the audience:
The way of using glue in the dark colour
would be more interesting. They do
not like to look down to read the data.
Perhaps the information can be written
on the wall before the audience enter
in the space area or having a voice
of someone explaining things before
entering in the dark space area.

24. Exhibition is a dark circle area. Inside
the exhibition planets are spread around.
The audience is going to this area
by lift which gives them some similar
experience as when the Hubble sent
to the space. Then, the introductory
information will be given to the audience
to stay in the circle line which is around
the earth as Hubble is always moving
around the earth. They can hear the
sound of planets by being in the line with
the planets. Between planets they will
hear the sound of space. In addition, the
audience can go out of the circle and
walk around the planets where the sound
of the planet going to be louder.
Designing an animation in after effact to
show how the exhibition will look like.
In this dark space only the planets have
lights. Outside of this area in the ground
floor, there is some information about
the Hubble and the sounds. The font of
information on the exhibition would be
Helvetica, because it is easy to read.
In this exhibition, audience will get the
information as follows:
• First photos that Hubble has got from
the planets.
• What are the planets’ sounds and how
we can hear these sounds
• Where the Hubble is and how is the
experience of positioning in the space
like Hubble
